I'm very happy about the Obama win, but Prop 8 looks very likely, if not certain to pass here in California (and I know the same sex marriage bans passed in Florida and Arizona already). It's so depressing and sad to know America is ready for an African American president, but not gay marriage. I think it's probably still 10 or so years down the pipe, when a newer and younger generation of voters are more powerful and present in the voting pool. Most people 18-29 voted against "Prop 8", but the older groups voted "For". Let's hope everyone in the younger groups who are pro-gay marriage continue to stay that way...so that there's hope for the future.
