First of all, if you haven't seen Wall-E, you simply must, because it is a delight! If I talk about it more, I'll end up sounding like James Lipton!
It's funny how the soundtrack to "Hello Dolly" has shot up on the iTunes Soundtracks chart list, because of the songs in the movie. I've always liked some of those songs, although never really a fan of the movie. I like many musicals, but my gayness stops at certain borders. I used to have a "Hello Dolly" CD from when I say the play at the Orpheum in Phoenix with Carol Channing. It was a fun romp, but totally ridiculous, because Carol Channing was like 70 and trying to dance as best she could. I remember a bit in the play where she was stuffing these little food fluffy things in her mouth (God knows why) and the old people in the audience were "eating" it up!
And before the play started (it was the opening play of the refurbished Orpheum) she said "I can't believe I'm in Phoenix, Arizona!" in her crazy voice.
