OMFG!
LYNNWOOD HIGH SCHOOL WON THEIR FIRST GAME IN FIVE YEARS LAST NIGHT AGAINST SOUTH WHIDBEY!
For those of you that don't know, LHS was my old high school. I was there for two years and never saw a win. It sucked. All of the seniors had never seen a win, either. They were going to graduate from a school with a losing football team. I mean, LHS was tied for first.. as the team with the longest losing streak, that is. Nothing good. Actually, LHS technically won another game against Kamiak because they were using ineligible players, but that's not as good as actually BEATING another team.
It was 27-26 and South Whidbey had the ball. They gave it to their quarterback to sneak around and get a two point goal (instead of kicking it). Well, he got it and ran it, but was tackled. It looks like he actually MADE it.. but nope, he was just short of the goal line. The players of LHS actually just stood there for a second looking at the line, then FREAKED out because they realized something. They had just WON a football game. Beaten another team. After all the teasing from other schools, they WON.
I saw something on the news about it, read sometihng online about it, and I guess there will be (or is) a newspaper article about it. This was a HUGE thing for LHS. They aren't the best with sports, but we won "Most Spirited School in NW Washington" three years in a row. I guess that there were people actually crying and screaming. No one knows HOW cool this is unless you go to LHS or did recently (like me).
