Mad Scientist by Sakura Momo and illustrated by Nara Chiharu

Mad Scientist by Sakura Momo and illustrated by Nara Chiharu is crack. It's not only crack, but it's retarded crack with several different cliched elements woven together to make an utterly silly but rather fun story. Takigawa Ryouichi works for a cleaning company. He's assigned to clean the lab of the "mad scientist" Akio Eiji, a gorgeous and brilliant (and totally unethical) chemist and friend of the president of the cleaning company. The book is the story of their "romance" and of how highly unethical (if not illegal) chemicals can save(?) the day.

Love the art (especially the cover--click to enlarge!♥). Love the characters and how retarded (and almost relentlessly upbeat) they are. Love how much utterly gratuitous sex there is. But most of all? Love how supremely bad this book is, when looked at objectively. "Bad" is too nice a word for it. XD;

Ryouichi and Akio meeting for the first time. Akio appreciates how wholesome, honest, and hard-working Ryouichi is.

Ryouichi is visited by an employee at his family's business, a guy he'd grown up with. The employee begs Ryouichi ("botchan") to come back and be the successor he's supposed to be (he's the only son). Ryouichi, who dropped out of university and left home to strike out on his own, refuses.

Cleaning company president visits Akio and is all over him. Akio is oblivious. The president had asked Akio to make him a special drug, a powerful aphrodisiac that also makes the person who's taken it (or more like been given it) lose the memory of the time while they are on the drug. Akio asks for assurance that the president won't be using the drug for nefarious purposes and actually believes them.

Akio decides to test out the drug on Ryouichi. It works perfectly!

Ryouichi finds out that childhood friend/employee has the hots for him. He manages to get away with only receiving a hand job (and lots of amusing commentary by employee, who comments on the shape and size of Ryouichi's erect dick and how it's different from when they had bathed together--and done a bit of exploratory touching--as children) thanks to Akio, who's come to visit. Employee excuses himself and leaves.

Akio had brought cake in thanks for some food Ryouichi had given him before. He slips Ryouichi the drug. When one takes the drug one doesn't tell lies, so Akio gets the truth of what happened between Ryouichi and the employee before they have sex again.

Ryouichi is asked to visit with some special clients of his family's business who'd asked for him. Unfortunately, they slip him drugs that prevents him from moving and plays with his body with their hands and their mouths and random flowers...

Even slipping in a golden dildo (instead of their useless dicks). They threaten him with his family losing their business if he doesn't stay quiet and do as they say.

The next day Akio gives the company president the drug. The company president immediately slips some into Akio's drink. He tries to get Ryouichi to leave immediately so that he can have his way with Akio, but Ryouichi gets suspicious and demands to see the vial to check whether there's any missing. When he realizes he's been drugged, Akio immediately kicks company president out and tells Ryouichi to leave as well. Ryouichi doesn't leave (he's realized he has feelings for Akio by then), and they end up having sex. Akio finds the marks the (icky) old men had left on Ryouichi and vows to punish them...Of course, he's not going to remember any of the conversation at this point...

Ryouichi feels horribly guilty for taking advantage of Akio and quits his assignment. He goes to company president's house to tell him he's quitting the company as well. Unfortunately, company president resents having lost his chance to fuck Akio and decides to get a piece of Ryouichi's young ass instead...Ryouichi was about to be stretched by a dildo molded in the shape of company president's dick (that's transparent so that one can check out what's going on inside...) when he's saved by Akio. When Akio woke up and saw the resignation letter, he immediately went looking for Ryouichi and followed him to the company president's house...

Akio had taken out the president's servant with some special spray he'd developed. He then glues the president's hands to the wall in a compromising position with a special ultra-powerful glue he'd developed. Akio tells the president to have his servant come to see him for a chemical to release him. Akio adds that he hadn't actually developed the chemical that would undo the glue and he'll initially be busy "comforting" Ryouichi, so it might take several days...

Akio and Ryouichi go back to Akio's place. Akio questions Ryouichi about the reason Ryouichi had "taken advantage" of Akio, basically getting Ryouichi to confess his feelings. He then confesses a) that he'd drugged Ryouichi twice and b) that he loves Ryouichi as well. Ryouichi is dumbstruck but is happy to find out that his feelings are returned. Of course they have consummation sex.

Ryouichi is scolded by his little sister for refusing to come home. He no longer has a good reason to stay away because his older sister is going to succeed the business. Earlier in the book, Ryouichi and Akio had conspired to hook up the employee in love with Ryouichi and Ryouichi's sister (who rather fancied the employee) by drugging them with an aphrodisiac. Their plan worked. After some hot sex, the two decided to get married. Akio and Ryouichi's family want Ryouichi to move back and finish university. After he graduates he'll help Akio in his mad science as his assistant...and presumably live happily ever after...

Oh yeah, Akio manages to learn about Ryouichi's abuse by the icky old men again and uses some other drug he'd developed on them so that their perversions are exposed (apparently they had a ring in which they drugged young women, did nasty things to them, and sold videos of the nasty) and they are arrested. Akio tries to get Ryouichi to tell him--no, reenact for him--what exactly they'd done to him. When Ryouichi refuses out of embarrassment, Akio tells Ryouichi that he can easily make Ryouichi do what he wants using drugs...

Aren't drugs amazing? You can do anything (or get anyone to do anything) with them! I love how no one seems to have much in the way of ethics or ideas of morality or legality in this book. My mind boggles at how anyone thought the idea of an aphrodisiac with a memory loss component could ever be used in a non-illegal manner. And the entire subplot with Ryouichi's family business and the icky old men--gratuitous! But it was all fun and I enjoyed reading it. ^^;
