Oh, I remembered....

As an addendum to the previous musings, I remember that on at least two occasions Shredder and/or Krang tricked Baxter into helping them with an evil scheme while promising to turn him human again if he succeeded. So on those instances he believed, even if temporarily, that they had something to help him. I wonder if he then believed that they were lying all along and/or if the fly made him even forget it had happened at all. Either or both is certainly possible, judging by how scrambled his mind was after the cross-fusion. He didn't seem to remember from one episode to the next about the possibility that they had something to help him. He was definitely always interested in being normal again, so it seems likely that the fly made him forget ... unless he thought they were lying and that was another reason to take revenge on them.

Finished the fic I was working with for over a week. It was a lot of fun to write. Now on to the next one; I'm ready to tackle the one now about villains trying to use a Rare Earth magnet on poor Vincent to in essence kill him so he can't tell about seeing their criminal activities on campus. The Rat King is probably also going to be involved, thinking it sounds like a good way to take revenge on Baxter for inventing the Mousers. And the fic opens with Baxter having a very involved dream where he speaks with the him of the past who has the Eye of Sarnoth. He also encounters his fly self buzzing around shrieking about revenge.

I also had the urge to draw a picture based on the scene in Control, Alt, Delete where Vincent and Baxter are kidnapped, and I did so. Vincent is kneeling on the floor of the Technodrome and protectively hugging an unconscious Baxter while glowering hatefully at Shredder and Krang. Debating whether Shredder and Krang will actually be in the picture or if it looks better with them off-screen. Also thinking of drawing something cute with Vincent and Zach, maybe from Evermore, maybe not. I'm not really a fan of Zach, but I definitely don't hate the kid, and I like the friendship he ended up forming with Vincent.

(Sometimes I wonder how the show ended up with two characters who really have the same name, just spelled differently: Zak the Neutrino and Zach the kid. Somebody must have slipped up and forgotten the Neutrino when naming the kid....)

And I was looking through the stuff in my folder and giggling over the Ginger and Lou Halloween comic with the Stay Puft Marshmallow Man. I should try to do a fic of that sometime. I don't think I ever considered that before, since it was first going to be a music video and then I decided to make it a comic instead.
