I finally posted the vegetable monster ficlit. And I wrote a blurb for the Deathfics comm that ended up being almost as long. **falls over.**
I really like the blurb, though; it follows a plotline where a sorcerer has Ahiru under a spell and she's been treating Fakir and Autor cruelly. But when he tries to get her to kill them as a dark Princess Tutu, she can't. So he tries to kill her for going against his orders and Autor and Fakir try to rescue her. Autor tackles her down first, and is struck by the fatal magic the sorcerer was sending at Ahiru. ;___; Ahiru comes out of the spell completely and goes into hysterics. Later on, she tells Fakir about the times when Autor played the piano for the ballet class.
I don't know if I'll make the blurb into part of a full-fledged fic; I kind of don't know that I want to write a fic with Ahiru under the spell and treating them so mean. I'm not really in the mood for that, and I would probably end up feeling like in some ways it was similar to the problems in the fugue state fic. So my guess is that it will exist only as a blurb.
Since the great majority of the things I write for the Deathfics comm are blurbs, they get written quickly. I'm breezing through the table, but I really feel a sense of accomplishment since each prompt really is serving to inspire the blurbs and ficlits. Sometimes I just get desperate and slap on a prompt for something, and I hate that! I really like genuinely writing a fic around a prompt from the beginning and not slapping a prompt on later, after maybe squeezing in one or two appropriate lines to make it fit.
I've also been working on Fuer Dich; akt 3 is, I think, done, and I'm going ahead writing akt 4, the final part, as well. It's been a very interesting little fic project. I hope the readers will like what I've decided to do with it; I've been in conflict over it since the first akt.
Also, since the vegetable monster fic is really more amusing than frightening, I would like to get a really creepy/scary/eerie ficlit up for Halloween. The Will O'The Wisp prompt would probably be a good one to go for, with the ghost siren lights. I'm not entirely sure how to work it, though; the most logical way would be for Fakir and Autor, or at least one of them, to become entranced by the lights and nearly end up drowning. Yet I'm not sure I really want either or both of them to fall under such a spell. Autor would surely have some knowledge of the legend, and you'd hope he would have strong willpower both because of that and because ... well, he's Autor. LOL. Fakir probably wouldn't believe in the legend (not that Autor would, at least at first), but his willpower would be strong too. Perhaps there have been a couple of deaths at the lake, so they're investigating, and maybe one of them starts to be pulled by the lights, but he tries to resist? Hmm.
Another thought would be writing something around the Gray Lady or Famous Haunted Location prompts. Gray Ladies are, if I remember right, the ghosts of women whose lovers have been killed. The Maiden of the Rock in the early Pokemon episode would be a Gray Lady. Famous Haunted Locations are ... just that. LOL.
I've actually used a siren combined with sort of a gray lady in a fic before, and it was a really creepy fic, but the resolution ended up not being supernatural at all. The woman in the fic was convinced she was a woman who had been jilted and was back for revenge, and she was using telepathy to lure men to their deaths. I think for this Tutu fic, I want to do something actually supernatural.
... Maybe I'll do the Black Agnes one. Oh gosh, that would scare *me.*
