The plushie came on Friday! ^O^ **hugs him.** I only told a few people what one I'd ordered before I got him, and only when they asked what I'd decided, so for confirmation: I did order Thief King. He's very soft, as always, and the girls have a new material for the tanned skin. It's softer than any of the materials for skin before. *___*
There's lots of attention to detail; he even has some rings. And the red robe has all the right white trim. The one thing I really raise my eyebrow at is that the kilt is tied in the back, instead of being perfectly sewn on all sides. I don't understand why that would have been hard to sew, but oh well, it's not a big thing. **strokes the soft hair.**
And I've been doing more musing on the fantasy fic. I think now that there will be more than one installment, and the first fic will end when Yami Bakura brings Bakura back to himself. They're still in Juno, Fafnir's seizing control of everything, and they have no way to get home. But Bakura's sane again and, though guilt-stricken, is thankful Yami Bakura is with him. As they stare out the large window of ... wherever they are, seeing the disaster before them, the fic draws to a close.
Not sure how many chapters it will be, or if it'll be a duology or a trilogy, but I'll figure that out later. Currently I just got chapter five up, and am disappointed that it's mostly dialogue, but it didn't want to be written any other way. XD; Chapter six will have more details, I hope.
Still trying to decide how Yami Bakura gets freed from the ice in the second/third fic. I want him to be free and able to join the final battle, when that happens, and I want it to be Bakura who releases him.
Important developments for the timeline overall, as mentioned in the fic: For the first time, it's flat-out said that the Infinity Ring has white magic. It was hinted at before, especially in Taming the Darkness, but not outright stated.
Also: Mr. Bakura now knows more of the dark secrets concerning Yami Bakura controlling Bakura's body in the past. This is not a good thing for their already-rocky relationship. It takes him a good while to accept that Yami Bakura is different now.
Chapter six finally gets them to the wizard. After they learn some vague and ominous things, they'll be going out of the forest and onto the villages. They'll meet Adelpha and her rebels, probably in chapter seven, and somehow, eventually get drawn into a battle. Bakura has to wait behind in agony, looking after the children and listening to the battle going on outside. ;__; Yami Bakura is fighting in it, so Bakura worries about him until it's over. I don't know what chapter this will be. But it's important for later plot twists for there to be several battles against Fafnir's minions.
