(no subject)
I haven't updated in a long time. It's been a pretty hectic week. My dad was rushed to the hospital on Saturday night and ended up needing emergency surgery on Sunday, my mom's birthday. He just came home from the hospital today. This whole event really put some things in perspective. I am very close with my dad. He never gets sick so seeing him in an ambulance was not a pleasant experience. It really scared me that the possibility of losing him was real. It sucks that it takes such horrible things to happen to make us cherish and appreciate all the good things we have.
I went horseback riding with Krista on Monday. I haven't cantered on a horse in a long time and I got to ride the most beautiful paint named Ozzy. He was about 16 hands and totally sweet. I haven't been that happy in a long time. I love just being outside and running through an open field on a horse. Maria is going to come down sometime next week to go riding with me, then I'm going again with Krista and her boyfriend on the 14th. Then at the end of the summer, for only $150, we're taking a trip with the horses to the cape where we can race in the surf of the ocean. It's going to be amazing.
Got tickets for the Red Sox v. Yankees game!!!!!!!! So excited. Amanda and Dean are supposed to come up soon to play paintball and get shitfaced. Can't wait for that. Finally text messaged Kayla the other day...let her know I didn't forget about her. Hopefully we'll hang out sometime soon.
Time to go for a walk and listen to music. Gotta love peaceful alone time.
