New Jersey...about that
Merck is a strange place, maybe because it is industry or maybe it is because they are especially disorganized. A new member of senior management joined right about the same time that I did and is reorganizing the groups again. The idea before was that I would do a rotation at West Point (Montgomery County, PA) for a few months and then come back to Rahway to do the job I was brought there to do. Instead, it is currently looking like I will be moving to West Point permanently in January. Nothing has been officially decided yet, but it will be whenever the reorganization goes though, which I will be pushing them about in the next few months ago. I have mixed feelings about this...I don't like having to move all over the place, but at the same time I do like that area of PA better than this part of NJ. I can actually get my own place if I want without totally getting killed on rent.
Knowing that this is probably going to happen is annoying because it's a bit of a disincentive to get very comfortable here even though I should allow myself to do so.
