Well I had an interview with City Year today, which went incredible. It was one of the most inspirational job interviews that I have had in a long time. The entire programs mission made me want the job SO SO much. Yes, yes, I will just end up doing things like tutoring children how to read, taking them to the museum, and doing service projects around the city....but come on now, I want to work with special need children for the rest of my life, this job is exciting. PLUS, if I get it, I get a free CTA pass and insurance for ten months. Can we say, Booya? That or can we say, Sam really hasnt gotten any benefits from his current employment?
I just finished the Poisonwood Bible. At first it was hard to dive into, but towards the end it was addictive. Beutiful tie-ins and imagery. Loved it. LOVED IT. So far its my favirote book I have read for the season. If you start it and you get frustrated...just wait, towards the middle when the family starts to disentergrate is when it really picks up steam. Once again, love it!
