My Friday Night
By: Stephanie M. Ray
Well, last night, a group of my friends and I went to the beach and a Lake Superior senic turnout not too far from campus. We had a bonfire as we sat and watched for the northern lights. Someone brought a tent and with that, a decision was made that we were going to camp out. The night was fun and the stars were so bright. Talks of the future and the sounds of waves crashing on the beach filled the night. It was really nice. I grabbed my sleeping bag and decided to not sleep in the tent. The water sang me to sleep as the glow of the billions of stars served as my nightlight. I woke to the most eeriest feeling ever. It was so dead. There was a low fog and the waves were calm. I snuggled closer to my sleeping bag because it was cold and windy. When the sun began to rise, its rays caught my eyelids and they woke me up. My other friends were awake and they were tending to the fire. It was warm over there, so thats where i went. The sun reflected off the sand and the buildings across the long bay in Marquette. The sky was a deep purple, orange, and yellow. It was pretty. Asian tourists came along and took some pictures. Seagulls came. My friends made me a spear and I tried to get them, but I couldn't get close enough.
Then I came back to the dorm and had a rugby game and kicked some ASS AHHHHAHAHAbahahaha.
