Title: TLC
Pairing: Lea/Dianna
Rating: PG for a swear or two
Length: ~900
Summary: Dianna's sick. Lea takes care of her girl.
Author's Note: Due to the influx of angst coming from Lady Dianna's Tumblr I felt that this was an appropriate time to post some fluffy fic that could hopefully warm things up a little in Achele-land.

“Oh…God…” Dianna groaned when she rolled out of bed that morning. Everything hurt. Her head, her throat, her sinuses, her body. She sniffled a few times and made her way to the kitchen.

“Coffee…” she mumbled. She pressed the button to start the drip on her coffee maker and watched as the brew slowly flowed into the pot. She rested her head on the counter top and tried to inhale the sweet scent but was only met with sinus pain.

Dianna's phone rang and she jumped, startled, then recoiled from the muscle soreness. Her publicist’s number flashed on the screen and Dianna sighed. She remembered she had an event she had to make an appearance at later that morning. Even though she really didn't want to do anything but lie in bed and sleep all day she’d committed to it and had to find the will to do so. She reluctantly confirmed that she would be there.

When the drip stopped she poured herself a steaming cup of coffee and relaxed a little before calling her doctor and setting up an appointment for later that afternoon. She went to the event and did a few interviews and signed autographs. The doctor gave her antibiotics and told her to stay at home and get some rest. She gladly took the advice but not before texting Lea to break their date for that night.

Hey baby, woke up sick this morning. Doc says I need rest & I don’t know if I’m contagious or not but I don’t want to take the chance. Date another nite? Sorry <3

When she didn't get a response Dianna sighed and snuggled up on the couch with some Lifetime movie on for background noise. She'd deal with Lea later. She drifted in and out of sleep, her illness-induced short, strange dreams jerking her awake a few times. She whimpered in her dream and out loud when her apartment door was unlocked and there was a rustling noise. She jerked awake yet again and looked toward her door. She had to rub her eyes a few times before the out of place figure, a short brunette carrying shopping bags, came into focus.

“Lea…what’re you doing?” Dianna mumbled. “I’m sick.”

“Yup, I know.” Lea walked to the kitchen and Dianna hoisted herself up off the couch and dragged her feet as she followed.

“I don’t want you to get sick, too.”

Lea only snorted and pulled a pot out of one of the cabinets and set it on the stove.

“Why is it you can commit yourself to do public appearances even though you feel like shit but you break our date?” Lea asked with a less-than-happy tone. She started pulling vegetables out of her shopping bags and located a cutting board and knife.

Dianna groaned. “Because I don’t have the overwhelming urge to kiss random strangers. You know I can’t keep my hands off you, babe. You need to be healthy.”

“I’ll take my chances. Go back and lay down, I’ll be there in a little bit.”

“Lea, don’t be mad.”

Lea turned around and narrowed her eyes. “I'm think I have a little bit of a right to be mad, Dianna. Do you know how much it sucked to find out you were sick by some strangers telling me via freaking Twitter? You know I don't expect you to text me all day every day but I really would've liked it if you told me this morning. I'm your girlfriend, I think I deserve to know these things.”

“Baby, I told you, I don’t want you to get sick. I’m sorry I didn’t tell you but I knew you’d do this and we both know that if I get you sick that Ryan will kill me.” Dianna stuck out her bottom lip and widened her eyes. “Don’t be mad,” she whimpered.

Lea’s look softened and she sighed. Dianna grinned and Lea crossed the kitchen floor and wrapped her arms around the blonde’s shoulders.

“You know I can’t resist that.”

“Why do you think I use it so much? You really shouldn’t be this close to me, you know?”

“I'm willing to risk it,” Lea whispered before reaching up to press a soft kiss to her girlfriend’s lips. “Go back to the couch.”

Dianna nodded and sniffled. Once back on the couch and snuggled in her blanket she drifted back to sleep with a smile to the sounds of Lea in the kitchen. She was gently awoken by kisses being pressed to her neck and fingers running through her hair.

“Sit up,” Lea instructed when she pulled away. Dianna did as she was told and Lea positioned herself on the couch facing the blonde. The brunette held the bowl of vegetable soup underneath Dianna's chin and dipped the spoon in. She raised it to Dianna's lips and the blonde giggled.

“You’re seriously going to feed me?”

Lea nodded. “Open up! I'll do the airplane if I have to.”

Dianna grinned and opened her mouth, Lea stuck the spoon in.

“You like it?”

Dianna swallowed and nodded. “It’s perfect.”

Lea spoon fed Dianna the soup until she drained the last drop and then kissed the blonde’s forehead. Dianna smiled and Lea pressed another kiss to her lips.

“Sleep, baby,” Lea whispered. “I’ll take care of you.”

Dianna sniffled and nodded again. Lea tucked her in on the couch and sang softly while she rubbed Dianna's back until the blonde was breathing heavily.

Dianna’s phone chirped and she rolled over to grab it off of her nightstand.

Di, I have to break our date tonight. I feel like shit. Sorry <3

Dianna smiled and hopped out of bed. Two hours later she unlocked Lea’s apartment door, arms full of soup ingredients. Lea was on the couch and she lifted her head and smiled.

“I warned you about this, Lea,” Dianna said sternly. “I told you that you would get sick and you wouldn’t listen.”

“Maybe I wanted to get sick,” Lea said. She sniffled and coughed a few times. “So I’d get some TLC from my girl.”

Dianna slipped her shoes off and shook her head. “You don’t need to get sick for me to give you some TLC, baby. Get some rest, I’ll bring you soup in a little while.”

Lea nodded and dropped her head back down. Dianna shook her head and made her way to the kitchen. She had soup to make and a very sick star to take care of.
