Bunny attack! ...and the fugly truth

I just got hit by a plot bunny, HARD! And because it will take some love and time, I decided to do it for the 2011 BigBang. Am I the only one thinking about this already? O.o Dude, I am so in the fandom clutches of DOOM! hahahhaa

I am writing my big, epic fic now, and yesterday I thought I might just keep writing it and using it for BigBang 2011.... I probably wont though, because I kind of LOVE being a bigbang artist - even though it would be fun seeing what it would be like being a writer for once!

It's... well. All the build up, the support of my readers and the count down, the anticipation that was reeeeally cool. But posting itself was a little anticlimactic. Because you post it ALL at once and everybody else is posting too, so there's a lot of competition over readers. For those people getting few comments to their WIPs (in reference to that one conversation we had :P ) it's great because there are a lot of readers eating their way through the fic that is posted. For those with a bigger fellowship (let me count myself in there for the time being, I'm feeling self indulgent right now ;) it's a little disappointing in the long run. My BB got many comments, as many as the last chapter of my other equally large fic did earlier. But people only comment on the last chapter/the whole story. So what is missing is them speculating and anticipating and you knowing what they think in between. So I have to say that posting in chapters is my preferred way to go. BUT (all those buts, Geez!) I still get people reading my BB every once in a

No no no.... don't apoligize for rambling. It's reply like this that I need to decide.
Well, you mention it all in there.... I am one of those who can easily post a 50K story in 6 parts (not that I can easily post a 50K story - I have never written that much before - but THIS might end up around there) and get 5 comments total!
So I think if I post it as a BB I might actually get comments.

But then - if I post it outside BB I can post it in chapters and get that anticipation. I should have a talk with my friends and have them pimp my story... LOL

God - I have totally stopped even pretending that feedback doesn't matter, haven't I?

Now - back to writing... I have only written 4 parts (23,800 words) yet ... many more to go. This is just the build up!
I did make art for it yesterday though - and that kind of decides it for me. I don't think I want to give up making art for this myself! So no BB then!
