“So, did you hear the story of the Johnston twins? Just like each other as two new pins. How one was kept and one given away, how they were born and they died on the self same day”, Misha’s voice rang out clear as a bell as he started the story, started the journey of Michael, who everybody called Mickey anyway, and his brother…
The lights were bright on the stage by the time Jared had his first entry. The lighting made the stage a sauna and blinded him for seeing whatever was going on in the auditorium, and god knew he was glad for that. There was nothing worse than a lit auditorium, so the actors couldn’t just be seen but could also see the people watching them, reacting to them.
It was the worst possible thing for stage fright, because it made the actor wonder was that person intrigued or bored…? And was that a yawn? Thoughts like that were poison to every actor’s concentration, and without concentration there was no method acting. So, yes, Jared was glad that the lights were blinding him, and the auditorium lights were off.
When he stepped onto the stage, into the light, Jared pushed all thoughts he might have to the back of his mind and became Eddie, a youth in his teens, not yet a man, not yet grown. His parents were rich but not very demonstrative in their affection, and they were strict, wanting him to grow up to become an honorable man, someone they would be proud of, someone with strong principles and a good stand in life. But for now, all Eddie wanted was to have fun, to enjoy his childhood as long as he was still free of responsibility. There was only one problem: Eddie was lonely.
He was not popular, and those kids his parents approved of him playing with were snobbish and mean… so Eddie was playing alone most of the time. But things would change. Fate would have her way with him. Fate would arrange for him to meet someone he could feel connected to, someone he would be drawn to. That boy would be from the bad side of town, a child grown up in a household that couldn’t afford as many children as it had, a kid that would go out to steal food and toys with his big brother.
Jared went out there, looking for a soul mate, for someone to outbalance Eddie’s light with their darkness…
Jensen was standing across from him, encapsulating the one person Eddie had always waited for, the one person to guide and rule the rest of his life, unwillingly but definitely.
When the two boys met, they smiled at each other as if at a long lost brother, they connected instantly. The audience was awed by the tight bond these kids formed as though finding someone this important in life was that easy, wasn’t a constant struggle, and they were pulled into the ups and downs of two brothers who had never been told they belonged together, but who just knew they could not be apart.
Jared and Jensen just could not be apart any longer.
…next part… Okay… sooo as always I’d love some FEEDBACK, please!
