Summary: Jared Padalecki lives a Joe Average life with his fiancé... until a handsome stranger with an unbelievable story and a mysterious tale of destiny breaks the peace to safe his life.
NOTE: This is Cat's fic cast as far as they appeared yet. The pics are only mildly spoilery for the fic though. I get to post this because the pics are mine... Yeah, so this is what I do when there's no BigBang to do ^^
THE CAST
In order of appearance:
DO NOT read the descriptions of the characters if you haven't read it until chapter 8 or 9. It's spoilery otherwise!
Jared Padalecki
What does he do? Something boring, well it's in the first chapter.. claimed to be the only left direct descendant of the Van Helsing Family, he doesn't really know what that means yet either....
Plus, he has the Sight, the ability to see through all kinds of magical veils and other disguises, just about anything that's not physical. It's a rare family treat and not common among the other magic folk.
Aura colour is dark green.
Jensen Ackles
The guy who saved the maiden, err, man. He's a warlock (which is the nastier kind of wizard, sans the beard and all) Can do magic, has a fancy sword with an invisible scabbard that doesn't condone touch if not by him. He's very good at fighting demons and riling Jared up with non-talkiness. The tats are important... changing, depending on how Jared sees them and yummy (ehehehehe).
Aura colour is lightning blue.
Tom Welling
Jared's fiance, Junoir partner at Wolfram&Hart (though Jared thinks he's just a little bug in the whole thing) and... the rest you yet have to find out.
Allison Mack
She's Tom's evil PA, like literally. And a demon,... on the side, she does some retrieval and jock squad business for her boss. Oh and they have an affair.
Erica Durance, Kristin Kreuk
Allison's goons... they are kinda short lived in this story.
Christian Kane
Yes, Chris is a werewolf, though you should refrain from calling him out on that, he's very badly tempered as well. And not impaired by the rise of the moon, because he can turn at any given time when poked thoroughly. He also isn't a ravaging beast, but a controlled hunter and vicious fighter. He's training Jared in all kinds of hand to hand and weapon combat, along with Jensen.
Aura colour: moonshine white
Jeffrey Dean Morgan
He's the big guy, the leader of the Archway circle (I. e. the motley crew). He's also a warlock like Jensen, but much more powerful and experienced, a master of his craft. Very elusive as well, you'll have a hard time catching him out.
Aura colour: Lightning ivy
Katie Cassidy
She's a hacker.. and a witch. Most of the times both at once, a technomancer to be exact. She's good at basic witchy things, but not overly remarkable in any field but technology. She's in charge of the Crystal Cave, the Archway surveillance system that can find any person at any place in town (mostly) by hacking into all the city's official and private systems (and creating some new ones).
Lauren Cohen
She's a healer. All the good guys have basic abilities in healing spells (like first aid if you will), but she's the real deal. The scalpel to the band aid, so to speak. She's part of Jared's theoretical education in healing and basic witchery.
Aura color: Red (dunno which tone but I bet it's a special one like ruby red or something because Cat plots like that)
Jim Beaver
Jim is older than he looks and a lot more perceptive. He is the librarian and keeper of the Archive, harboring every book in existence. If he hasn't read it, it hasn't been written yet (probably). Underneath the grizzly elder gentleman lies an immortal creature of unknown power, a dragon, hidden by glamors mortals couldn't even fathom to create. Jim is neither good nor evil, he is the keeper of eternal balance, making sure the carefully weighed powers don't tip and spill over, bringing along the destruction of our world as we know it...
Mary
a.k.a. The Black Mamba. This witch is one of the most dangerous and most fierce leaders of the magical world. Her and Jeffrey have a history but if that's good or bad news is still to be seen.
The Fates
These goddesses of greek mythology can be found on the flip-side of Chicago's high and mighty. They are powerful beyond what we can perceive, holding the threads of life and future between their fingers... and they have taken a special interest in Jared.
