Why I want you to stay…
“Tsume!” Toboe shouted. “Where are you?!”
Tsume winced. He was sitting behind a rock. A big rock actually. ‘It’s that brat again. Trying to disturb my leisure time. It’s annoying.’ he thought to himself. But… why won’t he stop?’
“Tsu- there you are!” Toboe exclaimed. “I’ve been looking all over the place! Why are you there anyway?”
‘To get away from you!’ he wanted to say but found out that he couldn’t do so for some odd reason that’s beyond him. He said instead, “To have some peace and quiet. That’s impossible with Hige around.”
Toboe snickered. “Don’t be so mean to Hige! It’s not his fault, that’s his nature!”
Tsume felt himself smiling. ‘Toboe’s so amusing…’ he thought. ‘But why? Why does he seek my company more than the others?’ he wondered. ‘Why does he want me to stay?’
“Because, you make me feel safe for some reason.” Toboe replied. Tsume nearly jumped a couple of feet into the air. He never meant to say that thought out loud.
“And…because you make me feel that I can depend on you far more than the others.”
Tsume never knew why his heart felt glad at Toboe’s statement. It seems like Toboe managed to worm his way into his ‘non-existent’ heart. And he felt like smiling which’s odd for him. And what’s odder is, he found himself saying, “Me too Toboe, me too.”
