You know how some movies are just so perfect that you can't take your eyes off of the screen? You watch, your eyes glued to the movie, and then when it ends, you walk out of the theater wanting to watch it again.
I saw P.S. I Love You tonight, and it's one of those movies.
I wasn't sure that I wanted to see this, but after hearing that James Marsters was in it my friend wanted to go, and it looked cute, so I went along with it. I admit that at the beginning, I didn't think I was going to like it, but my opinion on this movie was quickly changed for the better. It takes a lot for a movie to make me cry; I can cry from TV shows, but in movies I find that there's not enough time to get to know the characters. This definitely wasn't the case for this P.S. I Love You. I cried the whole way through it, and for me that's saying something. All of the actors did an amazing job. Hilary Swank is always really good, and Gerard Butler has been amazing in the two things I've seen him in. The others portrayed the characters really well too. I really was in tears throughout the entire thing, more than any other movie I've ever seen.
It's definitely a "chick flick", but it's one that's amazingly well done. I hadn't read any reviews of it before going to see it, but I've heard that it has gotten some bad ones. Despite that, I loved it, and will probably end up buying it and watching it over and over again.
