Opinions needed
Okay, my mom just presented me with a situation.
Turns out her best friend/pretty much my aunt is turning 50 at the end of this month. Mom's going to go up to Chicago to surprise her. She also said that I could go with as a double birthday thing. Here are the pros and cons:
+ I get to go back home for a few days, I haven't been back since we moved in June of '96.
-I have to miss school for 2-3 days
+ I'll get to see family
- Chinese takes attendance for a grade
+ I'll also get to see a pair of friends that recently moved into the area
- My lecture classes are difficult for me, and it's best that I attend
+ I won't miss any tests
+ I'm looking into going to Soldier Field for a Bears home game, but
- The game tickets would cost more than the plane tickets
- I'll miss the Halo 3 midnight launch, which is only disappointing because I love people watching, especially when it involves a mass crowd of losers. More important than that, I'll miss a friend's birthday. :\
The scale seems about even, and I have limited time to decide. As in, tomorrowish. Give me your input.
