Jazz

Why is jazz the saddest sound to me? It makes me think of all the times I could have made something of myself. The lonesome and brave notes drown me in nostalgia of my childhood--the late nights I would curl up in the backseat of the car, wrapped up in my father's coat. The street lights would jump through the window and tease my eyes as I ( Read more... )

I really like the imagry in this!
"The street lights would jump through the window and tease my eyes..."
Beautiful, just beautiful!

The personification of the notes as "lonesome and brave" was also a nice touch.

I agree, jazz is some powerful stuff!

What do mean "all the times I could have made something of myself"? If you ask me, you've made something of yourself on several occations, something absoltely marvelous I might add! You've got some strong ambitions and I'm confident you will achieve many of your goals. You, my friend, are amazing!

Oh! I see you've changed the colors and stuff on your LJ. I like it. It looks good.

I've added a couple new entrys to my LJ recently. Check it out when you get a chance!

ALSO: You've never added me to your frinds list. You should do that. Yep yep.
And something is definitely wrong with the time setting on one or both of our computers cuz it is certainly not
6:00 am or whatever time it says it is. hummm....

Thank you! I don't want you to think I'm really down on myself or something, sometimes those thoughts just come out when I'm writing. We all think that way sometimes, you know? But thanks for being so thoughtful.

Ah, I see. Sadly, a few of my friends have been having self-esteme issues lately, so I guess it has sort of become instinct to react rashly.

Hey, remember about a month ago when I asked for your address so I could send you something? It's taken me awhile to get that sent off but you can expect it late this week or early next week, depending on how much longer I procrastinate. :) It's really nothing spectacular; I think you'll enjoy it though.
