We have been looking into things to do in London as my 'travel agent' says we should really try to do something in London... still not sure where the hell we'll end up going. So I was looking through this site of things to do and this thing pops up ( Read more... )

LOL this entry made me laugh i never really thought of it like that but when you put it like that....ermmm LOL

I was just about to say its educational but then you covered that bit haha
I do see it as educational and for kids aswell you remember how it was more to have a scene set etc *of course to reasonable level lol* but it is kinda funny the way they word it 'feel the fear' and 'have fun' etc lol But they gotta bring people in somehow none of us would go if it wasnt fun or enjoyable! lol

Its not the only place that does things like that theres the natural history museum or something where you stand on a block and watch a scene to experience an earthquake and again oohh what fun UNLESS its a real one and does damage of course...

Ive been to the London Dungeon once a few years ago now you may have been on my list even when i wrote it up. Its what id say is an ok place but next to disney no contest disney wins! lol
We have where i live Dickens World which a similar thing where you experience live at dickens and people dress up in those times etc.

I see what your saying though which is why i laughed :-)

Your coming easter time and i think the kids will be off school that week, you may find youd have to queue for about 2 hours for your torture at the dungeons LOL

'feel the fear... and have fun' lol Scary things can be fun. This one is just odd.

I just keep trying to imagine modern events one day showing up in a place like that. Can you imagine having an exhibit where you can experience what it was like trying to escape the twin towers after they had been hit in the States? That's just not right. But in a hundred years perhaps my great grandchildren will be visiting an attraction like that.

Dicken's World sounds more like my cup of tea. Do they show anyone getting torn apart or blown up or dying from a plague? lol

Which part of England do you live in? I'm sure that's too far a drive for us to visit Dicken's World anyway. I'm still not sure how my travel agent expects us to squeeze in London, Scotland and Manchester all in 7 days. All that travel time and how many stops we are going to have to make yelling at each other about how to drive.... lol It's just not going to work.

Well i wouldnt have thought theyd have done a film about the twin towers etc but it didnt take that long or lady diana stuff either but where money is made and i guess history told...

Dickens world is pretty much the same thing but smaller. I would say dungeons is a bit better if you like anything make believe lol. I think the dungeons is good for tourists just for the history aspect.
I am hard to please i scoff at any fake flimsy plastic walls etc LOL BUT not if they are on a theatre set of course heh
Go to a london show! les mis or phantom! heh Il come LOL

I live in the S.E which is only a 50 minute drive from where youl be in london. So if anything its far close than any of the other places your going LOL but naa dont come down this way i think its only nice for canterbury mostly LOL theres the canturbury tales which is another dickens world and another dungeons type thing where you live in the world of those times LOL

I guess manchester is the definate as you need the football and tickets.

But london AND scotland? FAINTS lol im not sure you will fit both and be able to do a thing but thats just my view. You could have a quick look out your car window i guess heh and that is my type of holiday because of my ills to just be driven around.
I think it a shame to be in london for one day but a shame to be in scotland for just one day.
It will take you a day each to GET to each place :-( lol
