Your preciseness leads me to think you're paranoid about getting a half answer, Tachibana-kun. For better or for worse, I find myself inclined to take you up on your offer, if Yuuji-kun doesn't object.
It isn't that. It's just that I realized by the time I finished typing that on a campus with so many boys that someone has to know how to play, and I was far too busy chomping on grapes to delete and type out a new inquiry. :D
For better or for worse? Yuushi-sama, you make playing tennis sound like a chore as trying as marriage. ;__;
A campus with so many boys? As unfortunately devoid of female inhabitation as our school may be, Tachibana-kun, you make it sound as though girls are allergic to tennis.
Ah, not the game itself, but the fact that you will be forced to endure my company. And I might be the only person in the school on whom that particular emoticon works little.
I certainly did not mean to. However, the likelihood of there being someone that does play tennis in an all boys school is probably higher, which isn't to say girls are allergic to tennis. It just means that boys do tend to be more inclined to play sports by their very nature.
Then you predict that I won't enjoy being around you? It wasn't meant to work on you but to display my sadness over the thought of you disliking a sport I find enjoyable.
A generalisation that I will concede for the moment, although my sister in all her feminist-gender-equality glory would object.
I wouldn't begin to predict such a thing, hence the or clause, you see. I certainly intend to make sure it's leaning towards the for better, of course.
Possibly because it's so much harder to see things from a different point of view than one would have oneself believe. I take it the young lady in question would be the charming girlfriend whose existence Shishido had the honour of confirming?
Never hurts to be prepared, mm? Although I assure you that I play very enjoyable games indeed.
It's always harder to view things from a different perspective when we're naturally inclined to prefer our view above another person's, however; I believe it entirely possible, even if we still wish that our own was the right one. It's merely a matter of accepting what is right or wrong, even if it hurts your pride to do so. Indeed, it is.
Certainly not, but being prepared does often take away the chances for surprises to occur which might or might not be a good thing. Oh, I don't doubt that.
I think it's the difficulty in overcoming one's pride that makes people so reluctant to accept a different view point even if it is obviously right. And I become more and more intrigued by the wisdom your lady love displays, Tachibana-kun.
Well, perhaps if you expect me to be an abysmal player I can surprise you by being good, and vice versa. Don't you?
Which is why most people aren't capable of doing so, especially those whose thought process and personalities are geared more toward the general "I am right and only my opinion matters." category. Unfortunately, most of the world seems to fall into that one.
I never said I expected it, my lord. No, and even if I did I am wise enough not to say so as I'm sure Ryou would gift me with many frowns and don't be lames for doubting his master in any manner.
Sadly, which is why war will never cease to be a fact of life because not only does the majority of mankind lack the ability to admit when they're wrong but there is always going to be someone that seeks to destroy what they either fear/do not understand/or sees as being beneath them.

I think I wandered off topic somewhere along the line in this conversation. Do forgive me.
Lol. I don't think that's a fact of life anyone can escape; we all will inevitably suck at something. In my case, it seems to be holding my tongue when it's wiser to do so.
And not to worry, I seem to have a talent for making people turn thoughtful and loquacious, and I find it leads to stimulating conversation so I'm not complaining in the slightest.
Only I don't suck at playing, it's just on occasion that I play... less than admirably. And I rather think your tendency to say whatever your mind demands that you do is endearing, Tachibana-kun.
A dangerous combination, and if you say so I'm not about to argue. It's good to know I'm not cursed to make people talk at length about life, the universe and everything.
I believe a 'hah' is in order. And yes, of course. Outspokenness is rare enough in upper circles, after all.

Ah, covering all your bases, I see. I hope it does. I would be severely disappointed if the game was not enjoyable.

Ah, don't be so sure. You should bring up the subject of my talent with the violin to Shishido, and he will undoubtedly inform you that I... suck.

Would those occasions be whenever you pick up the violin, my lord? Really? I was given the impression it is anything but.

I dare you to prove otherwise then. Some would say it is not a butler's place to be outspoken to a master.
