ugh people at my office have such a hard time communicating without pissing each other off. or maybe people have a hard time communicating with me w/o leaving me with a sour taste in my mouth. 2 examples from today:
1. this morning, before even having a chance to get situated I have a pop-up from Paul because he's all pissed at me for following up with a lead that was fwded to me yesterday. turns out this was some lead he had already been working with. ok, it was a mistake, no biggy i barely did anything but leave a message for the guy. But what does paul do? blows it totally out of proportion and sends like 3 emails about it Then turned it into a way bigger deal than it needed to be, and treated me like i'm some kind of idiot who doesn't know how to handle lead volume, or check in advance for existing opportunities. bad way to start the day
2. so one of the little stupid projects christina gave me was to tape up all xmas cards. no problem, but a few days ago, i've been slammed w/ sales stuff and told tony. he said, is there anything you can push off your desk towards allison (reception) the only thing i could think of was xmas cards. when i told christina this was allison's new task she had this really nasty attitude with me, and was like "why do you want to keep her off the phone its not that big of a task" then she snatched all the cards off my desk and stormed off. i wasn't trying to make a big deal out of it, but i explained to her that tony told me if i had anything i could push off my desk to allison then do it, and this was one of those things. whatever. no reason to freak out on me. bad midpoint for my day.
this job is a kinda like /hate thing.
