Leave a comment saying "FAIL!" and I will give you five words that I associate with you. Then, post about what they mean to you and this in your journal.
I got BONES, BARISTA, CALIFORNIA, LABYRINTH, & WRITING, from
ohsparrows .
BONES, or Mister Bones, is the pseudonym chosen by one of my characters for himself. I'd say he's my most "popular" character, and one of my most complex. I know him well, yet still find myself learning more about him all the time. He's a central figure in a series I'm working on, and is both a drug lord and Seer (the latter is a less known fact). I could go on, but that's what formspring is for~.
BARISTA, (from the Italian for "bartender") is a person, usually a coffee-house employee, who prepares and serves espresso based coffee drinks. I've been with Starbucks for like a year now, and worked about 6 months or so at a Seattle's Best. Customer service is something I'm pretty damn good at, and for the most part I have a blast end enjoy the customer interaction. Not to mention, I work with some amazingly cool people. :]
CALIFORNIA, my beautiful home state! I love living here, and while I could probably move to another country or state, I'd end up missing it. I've lived in various Southern Californian cities all my life, pretty much.
LABYRINTH is my favorite movie, not because it's the best movie out there...but because it's the one I like the most; it makes me happy when I watch it, which I've done so much as to have the entire thing memorized. So many creative people worked on this film, so it did get pulled in several directions that made it differ from the original script...but I love how it turned out. David Bowie & Jennifer Connelly are my loves! The Gobling King & Sarah are my OTP, and I still find it visually exciting for something so outdated,
WRITING is a thing I do, sometimes. Alright...maybe a lot of the time, even if it's just random snippets or ideas to be jotted down and pieced together at a later date. The genre I tend to write the most in is urban fantasy -- I love the combination, as it allows me to talk about real issues and capture today's youth/my generation, while unleashing my imagination. I have a passionate love for the fantastic and supernatural, so it's amazing to be able to research and study those things in order to add a variety of those elements to my work (as well as make shit up, basically).
