Sometimes the most urgent thing you can possibly do is take a complete rest

I seem to have my family's approval where Darwin is concerned.

My dad liked him and my mother even told him how cute he was. Later when we were on the phone, she also told me that she had found his guitar playing to be beautiful -- I had been doing Lita's makeup as she had a banquet to go to, and left on his own he often turns to his acoustic guitar. My mother also told me to bring him to meet my grandparents sometime, but that seems like a bit much...meeting the family is one thing, and I'd rather not scare him off. If he and I become serious, then I might bring him over for a holiday or other special event. Even so, it was a good sign and it made me happy.

We played a lot of Mortal Kombat vs. D.C. Universe with Lita, which was really fun. Later we also played Wii Sports, and I got too into it...my arm is a bit sore, but we had fun all the same. I showed him around town and he met my best friend in the world, Joseph. We ate a lot and slept in late, and gods, but he looked good shirtless in the morning, using the french press to make coffee for us...

I didn't want to leave my bed or my family, and I wish the weekend had been a lot longer and that I could have seen more friends. Still, going back home and re-charging is always nice.

I am rather tentatively making plans to travel to San Francisco this weekend with Athena; I've invited both Darwin and Joseph as well.

This week I need to look for a new job and kick my ass into gear where writing is concerned -- maybe post some snippets here?
