MOD POST!

Just a little update on new tags that will be effective immediately. This is the rating tags, and they are absolutely mandatory. We've noticed a trend recently, and that is fics with ratings that we've never seen before, which makes it hard to deduce whether or not the fic should be locked. Usually, with unorthodox ratings the mods have skimmed over the fic before giving a warning to lock the fic. However, with a sudden influx of different ratings, the mods simply do not have the time to skim over them. We've been pretty lax on this issue because it hasn't posed a problem before.
The purpose of the rating tag is to give potential readers a general idea of how your fic will progress. Please stick to the ratings that we've given, as they are standard ratings that are commonly used. Do not make up ratings to avoid confusion. The rating tags are as follows: rating: g, rating: pg, rating: pg-13, rating: r, rating: nc-17.
G: Your fic is appropriate for general readers. Meaning, there is no nudity, sexual references, profanity, etc.
PG: Your fic has slight mentions of nudity, sexual references, violence, profanity etc. Still unsure? If Jinwoon punches Changmin in the gut, and Changmin is rolling around in pain this is the rating you'll use.
PG-13: Your fic has mentions of nudity, sexual themes, violence, profanity etc. These themes are touched upon briefly with few descriptions. Still unsure? If Taekyeon and Jaebum have a really heavy make-out session this is the rating that you'll use.
R: Your fic has nudity, sexual themes, violence, profanity etc. These themes are explored more in depth. Still unsure? If Chansung and Junho are heavy drug users and abuse coke/acid etc. frequently and the process is explained, this is the rating that you'll use. All fics with this rating must be locked.
NC-17: Your fic explores sexual themes, violence, hard language, etc. explicitly. Still confused? If you explicitly describe a sex scene, or Seulong being tied to a chair and being gutted this is the rating that you'll use. All fics with this rating must be locked.
If you're still unsure and you feel your fic falls in between two ratings, please go with the higher rating just to be safe. Also do not double up on ratings! You must choose one rating for the fic/fanart. If you have a multi-chapter fic that is a different story, as different chapters can have different ratings.
If you have posted a fic/fanart within the last month or so, please go back and tag your entries with the rating tag, especially if you have used a rating that is not listed above.
At the end of the day your tags should be a variation of the following:
pairing: jaebum/taekyeon, rating: r
crossover: wonder girls, pairing: nichkhun/oc, rating: pg-13
character: junho, pairing: ot7, rating: g

Also, the mods would like to remind you new members, as well as everyone else, to read the guidelines before posting. Recently, the mods have been deleting more posts and giving out more warnings than usual. This can all be avoided by taking a minute or so out of your day to read the guidelines. We've stressed how important it is to read the rules before posting. It makes our job a lot easier if we do not have to delete multiple entries in a row. We have developed a zero-tolerance policy regarding posts that do not follow the rules.
