He seek for truth, he yearned for what really happened and why things are going this and that. But what if he is going further to what is already near to him? Is everything gone too late to change? Everyone is given curiosity and so will you open the box as well?

Chapter 29
"Answer"
Maids get Yuya and Kota's stuffs as they arrived to the Takaki mansion. Kota was amazed by the fortune that the Takaki family have. They went straight to his room where they were brought by snacks by the maids again. Yuya take off his neck tie and sit down on his soft chair while looking at Kota who was still astonish by how huge his room was. "You and Kei quarrel and that's the reason you're going to spend the night here?"
"It was not like that." Kota answered. "They will going to visit his father's grave and so they will not be home."
Yuya take one cookie and bite on it while looking at Kota who was looking by the window. Since they met a while ago, he was being silent. He knew that he was always like that but it was a different silence this time. "You can talk to me… I will listen to whatever you're going to say. You and Yamato finally talked right? What did you found out? You have any information about your past?"
"I have." Kota answered.
"Then why do you look like you are not happy at all? What kind of child are you? What did you found out? Tell me… I'm interested."
"I am… always sitting at the back near the window. I don't talk that much and seems like I have my own world. I have a friend who knew how to play a piano and then an orphan boy who was living just besides the school. I am savior of a fat boy and also… I am always hurt."
"Always hurt? What do you mean?"
"Yamato was not sure but he told me that I always go to school with bruise and wounds on my face and body. I looked so pathetic and weak. Everyone was saying that I was hurt by my father hitting me… beating me until he was satisfied." Kota explained.
"A…are you sure? Th…that was unexpected." Yuya commented. "Wh…why is he doing that?"
"I don't know… more likely I can't remember why." Kota answered. "But it all makes sense now. The reason I was always in fear… the reason why I hate crowd, why I hate noisy places, why I hate a small space… everything is because of that. I can always hear voice deep inside my mind… threatening me… cursing me.. Hating me. It all makes sense now that I knew about that… everything is because of the father I never met ones since he died because of that accident."
"H..hey… are you alright?"
"I wonder if mom knew about it. I wonder if mom knew that dad was hurting me and still… she still… she choose that man over me? Why am I with dad in that car? What cause the accident? Who was that second boy that Yamato was talking about? Why is mom blaming me for his death? Why is that man hurting me? Why do he want me to die?" he asked continuously. "I still need to know… there still lots of things I need to know."
"Kota… you better hold on to your sanity." Yuya told him. "It seems like… you have a really difficult and tragic past."

"Ke…Kei Inoo?" Suzanne repeated. "Kei Inoo? Kei Inoo? Kei Inoo?" she asked repeatedly again. She looked at Yuto who was showing a worried expression on his face and after a few seconds Yuto receive a slap on the face that made Yuto and Ryosuke surprised. "You always knew this right? You know that those two already met but you didn't tell me anything."
"I… I did." Yuto confessed. "I'm sorry but I think… it was for the good."
"Good? What's good with this? Yuto… I thought you are on my side? Aren't you thankful that you are closer to Kota now because of me? Why do you need to ruined my trust to you by hiding this to me? Tell me… did Kou knew the truth? Did he know everything already? That's the reason he was acting so different now… he was not obeying me anymore and he just…"
"I don't think he knew anything."
"I doubt that…"
"Kei didn't tell anything to him yet!" Yuto shouted back.
"That's a lie! How is that possible? Tell me how is that possible when those two… when those two have a deep connections since they were child. It's impossible for him not to tell the truth. I can't trust that Kei… i… I always hated that boy." Suzanne answered back and then she start to walk away. Yuto is about to follow her but Ryosuke stop him for a moment.
"What was going on? Why is Kota's mother so mad?"
"Let me handle this… please go home for now." Yuto told him and after that he run after Suzanne.

Daiki was packing his things for his trip 3 days from now but while folding his clothes he can't concentrate. There are lots of things in his mind that just make him feel low. Yuto told him everything that he knew about Kota and Kei and he was not expecting something big was hidden in just a normal relationship that they have.
"Kota and Kei knew each other since they were young." Yuto started the story. "When I first saw them, they were already together."
"You mean… Kota forget about Kei because he have amnesia?"
Yuto nodded his head. "I am a child from an orphanage near the elementary school that two are going. Envious of children attending school, I always watched the children play from the school playground. When I was picking in a small hole in the wall that separates the two structure, Kota saw me."
"Who are you?" the little Kota asked from the hole that he saw.
"I… I am Yuto Nakajima." Litlte Yuto answered.
"You're from the orphanage right? Do you want to play with us?"
"No… no… I am not allowed to go there."
"Really? Then me and Kei-chan will go there instead." Kota told him. Yuto didn't know what to do. Will he wait for them or will he go inside of the orphanage already but then with an unknown reason he waited for them. Two boys who came and approached him. One tall guy with serious look on his face and then one pretty guy who was so white and pale. "Yo, I am Kota Yabu and this is Kei Inoo. Do you want to play with us?" he asked again.
Yuto smiled back, he thought that those two are so nice coz they wanted to play to an orphan like him. Since that day the three became close friends and the two often came to the orphanage to visit him. Years passed by and they turned 10 years old. While Yuto was buying something in the store, he saw Kota being dragged by his father. He also saw him hitting Kota in the public. He wanted to help him but he was so scared to come. A small boy like him can't win anyway. Since that day Kota became a silent boy who always go to school with wounds. Kei and him comforted him but still he was not back to his usual self when he first met him.
A few months after, someone came and decided to adopt Yuto. He love the woman who adopted him but they were living in Hokkaido and so he need to say goodbye to his friends specially Kei and Kota. He have a good life in Hokkaido but he still missed the land of the main capital. After a year and few months he was shocked when he saw Kota in Hokkaido and covered with wounds. Suzanne saw him and immediately pulled him away.
"Wh.. What happened to Kou-chan? Wh…why do he look so wounded and… why can't he remember who I am?" Yuto asked her.
"He lost his memories because of the accident and that's the reason he can't remember who you are." she answered him.
"Accident? Wh…what accident? What really happened?"
"It's an accident… there's no need to explain anymore."
Since that day that Yuto found Kota, he always come to visit him and help in taking care of his wounded body. He was expressionless and was really weak and that made Yuto sad. One time while he was feeding Kota, he look at him and touch his face. "Who are you?" he asked him.
"Yuto… I am Yuto Nakajima the boy in the orphanage can't you remember? We use to play with each other me and Kei." he answered excitedly.
"Kei? Who is that?"
"Yo…you can't remember him as well? He is your best friend. You are always with each other… you played and talk and played music with each other. You are really close."
"M…music?" Kota uttered but he felt a sharp pain in his head. That time Suzanne came from Tokyo and he get mad at Yuto for talking nonsense thing to him. He pulled him out of the room and talk to him one on one.
"Don't talk anything about the past to him." Suzanne ordered him. "Don't ever tell him anything."
"But… if we will not tell something then he will forever forget about it." Yuto explained. "I read in the a book that if someone have amnesia we should expose him to things he did in the past so that he can remember them."
"No… let him forget about everything."
"Bu…but why?"
"Coz he will just hurt if he remembered the past." Suzanne answered. "By the way, you care for my son right? You like him right? You don't want to see him like that right?"
"I… I do… I mean Kou-chan is my friend and so…"
"Then… I want you to pretend."
"Wh…what?"
"I want you to pretend to be his friend that he saw in his memories. He keep on asking who was that boy and you just need to say that it was you."
"Me? But… i..it was Kei-chan." Yuto said but Suzanne covered his mouth instantly. "And i… I already told him about him."
Suzanne hold Yuto on his cheeks and she squeeze it tightly."Never mention that name in front of me nor him. Tell him that you are lying. No Kei Inoo exists in his life… that is what you must tell him." she ordered "From now on you will pretend to be that boy and then I will let you continue to be with him. If you will not do that then I will not let you see him again. I don't have any plan to bring Kota back to Tokyo… he will stay here for the rest of his life and his memory will forever be gone and so… if you wanted to be someone special to him then pretend to be that boy."
Yuto didn't want to be separated with Kota and so he did what Suzanne said but the burden lies to it was not easy for him to handle. He took back the words he told Kota about Kei and said that he was just lying when he mentioned his name. They grow up together and then they fall in love with each other. They were happy but deep inside Yuto feels stung by the lies he is doing. Kota never really cares for him, the one he loves is the person he is portraying which was Kei. When he can't handle the torment anymore, he decided to leave Kota alone. He find an opportunity to come to Tokyo with a friend recommendation and he instantly grab on it. In the next few days, he leave Hokkaido.
He was living his city life when he received a message from Kota that he was in Tokyo and he wanted to see him. He can't believe that he was now in the same place as he where but he decided that he wanted to make things over and so he have a conversation with him finally saying that he wanted to break up. Kota didn't want to accept it but he insisted. Even he likes Kota, he knew he really didn't like him at all.
At the outreach program of Kotoko, Yuto saw Kei in the same school as Kota. That's the first time he knew that the two met each other ones again and wonder what was going on. He was bothered by Kei's existence that he talked to Kota and warned him that he should not be close to Kei but in that conversation Yuto found out that Kei didn't say anything to Kota yet. All along, Kei was pretending that he was a new person to Kota's life.
On the onsen, Yuto finally found a time to talk to Kei and confirmed things. Kei decided to tell him the truth as well why he didn't tell Kota the truth, why he was acting like there is nothing between them and then what is he really planning to do. That moment, he finally receive an answer to everything.
After hearing the story from Yuto, Daiki was dumbfounded and didn't know what to say. It's too much for his mind to comprehend and he was not expecting that things were so complicated between them.
"I… I didn't know Kei-chan.." Daiki whispered.
"He told me not to reveal the truth to anyone but I did told you. To make things happened, I am hoping you will remained in silence." Yuto said. "This is… his last favor he asked me."
"Are you… are you okay with this as well? Did you agree with Kei's plan?"
"I am."
"It's because you care for Kota as well right? Yo…you still love him like what I think."
"I… I love Kota but… my love for him is nothing compare to Kei have for him. I… I can't do anything for Kota even he was suffering. I am just there and watched him. how can I love someone when I can't do something to make him happy."
"But you stayed with him in those times that he was still recuperating from the start of his struggle with his amnesia. You stayed with him when he was still suffering from the traumatic event that happened to him. It's true that Kei-chan is doing his best for Kota but what you did for him in the past is not something to be forgotten."
"Stop fluttering me… I told Kei that I'm going to support him till the end and so… I am hoping that you will keep this a secret as well. Don't make his effort go to waste… this is something he wanted to do before…everything ends."
What should he do? That is what Daiki was thinking. He can understand Kei's motive and Yuto's reasoning why he accepted it but he think that its unfair… the plan was so unfair. Why do they need to sacrifice so many things just for the sake of forgiveness? It's not their fault, everything is someone else fault so why do they need to suffer? Not only Kei but also Yuto was doing their best to change what needs to be change. For sake of love, forgiveness and wishes that needs to be granted.
Daiki jolted when he heard his mother knocked on the door. It opened and he saw his mother showing him a coat that he was looking for a moment ago. "Here is your coat that you were asking me." she said.
"Thanks mom."
"You have problem? You keep on sighing since you come."
"Nothing… I am just happy that you are my mother." Daiki said.
Daiki's mother smiled and then hug him tightly. "Take care in France okay… me and dad will also follow you there to visit you so you must wait for us."
"I will."

Yuto followed Suzanne where ever she go. He was afraid that she will do something reckless because of what she found out. He wanted to call Kota but he didn't know how to explain what was happening and so he just set that aside and decided to fix things on his own. He always knew that Suzanne is a woman who was hard to handle. Since before and after the accident, she was so attached to her husband and every decisions she do was always connected to that man. Observing her before, he knew that she doesn't care much about Kota and that's one reason that she didn't like her at all.
"Aunty… where are you going?" Yuto asked her. "It's already evening… why don't you go back home already?"
"I'm going to the Inoo and get Kota away from him."
Yuto grabbed her hand and stop her from walking. "I'm sorry but I will not let you do that."
Suzanne slap Yuto's hand away from her. "How dare you tell that to me? After all the things I've done for you? Why are you not satisfied with what I did? Aren't you in love with Kota? I let you be closer to him… didn't you date each other? He falls in love on you… everything is because of me. All I am just asking was you to be silent and not tell him anything. But what did you do? You did worst than that. You left me out of nowhere… you didn't tell me about Kei… you didn't tell me that Kou and Kei already met each other."
"I'm tired of lying.. I'm tired of deceiving Kou anymore."
"Deceiving? You are not deceiving him Yuto… this is for his sake… everything that you are doing is for his sake."
"Do you think I didn't know anything? Do you think I didn't notice at all? For his sake? That's a big lie." Yuto answered back. "You didn't change at all Aunty… you still insist on what you wanted to do instead of thinking what Kota wanted in life. If only you can see him now that he was with Kei he was happier more than those times that he is with you nor with me. Are you planning to chase his happiness away again? Why are you doing this to him? Why don't you just leave him all alone?"
"Don't ever shout on me."
"But I hate the fact that you are locking Kota on your own. You wanted him to be in despair all this time. You never told him about his past memories, you tried to put fake memories on him, you stopped him from doing music since you knew its something that can relief him from despair and then you separate him from the person that he really cares. You tried to shoved Kei away from him. What is the reason behind for your actions? Why are you doing this to him? Why are you making his life miserable?"
"It's not something I should tell a brat like you."
"I am not a brat anymore… I am not someone who will obey everything you said."
"Then… what will you do? Tell Kota everything about who he was before? Then do.. And let him live not in despair but in hell. In his mind set now, if he knew the truth that he was an unwanted child, an abused child and unloved child what do you think will happen to him? He will just be destroyed and broken."
"Kota loves you…"
"That's the reason I am using that love to hurt him… painfully until he can't take it anymore."
"What kind of mother are you…"
"Yeah I know am bad...I am not a great mother to him. Why will I love a child who I didn't like in the first place? A certain man just rape me and then he was born. He brings misfortune in my life, Ryo started acting weird since he was born. I never like him… I never wanted him… because of his existence my life gone insane. Everything turned upside down… all my plans were ruined."
"H… he was not…"
"He was not… Ryo's son but because of him my husband died in that car crash."
"It was an accident… it's so low to blame it on Kou."
"No… I was sure it is his fault… before the accident happened Ryo called me and then I heard Kou's voice disturbing my husband on his drive. If he just stayed and didn't do anything then they will not met that accident and he didn't die. My husband's death needs justice coz it was not an accident… it was a murder done by him."
"Yo…you're going insane." Yuto muttered.

Kota went out of the bathroom after taking an hour long bath. "I thought you drown yourself already." Yuya joked.
"Well I planned to but I remembered we still have filming tomorrow." Kota answered and then he sit down while wiping his hair. He look around and noticed that Yuya's room was plain looking despite of his status in life. "Where did you go a while ago? Do you always come home late?"
"Well… I went on a date."
"Date? With Ryo?"
"I hope it was him but unfortunately it’s a girl."
"Why?"
"Why you asked? Because Ryo wanted me to date her." Yuya answered back. "I don't know what he was thinking but if this is what he wanted me to do then I will do it."
"Are you an idiot? Why will you date someone you don't like?"
"So what are you planning to do now?" Yuya asked ignoring Kota's question. "After knowing bits of truth… are you craving for more or… your starvation ended."
"I'll sleep." Kota said. "and then… if I'm hungry I'll eat." he continued. He lay down on the futon that Yuya put for him and covered his body with the blanket. He recalled everything that Yamato told him and that another boy was bothering him. When he heard his description, there is only one person that comes to his mind… but he wonder if it's the truth that he wanted to know.

When he can't handle the torment anymore, he decided to leave Kota alone. He find an opportunity to come to Tokyo with a friend recommendation and he instantly grab on it. In the next few days, he leave Hokkaido.
He was living his city life when he received a message from Kota that he was in Tokyo and he wanted to see him. He can't believe that he was now in the same place as he where but he decided that he wanted to make things over and so he have a conversation with him finally saying that he wanted to break up. Kota didn't want to accept it but he insisted. Even he likes Kota, he knew he really didn't like him at all.
At the outreach program of Kotoko, Yuto saw Kei in the same school as Kota. That's the first time he knew that the two met each other ones again and wonder what was going on. He was bothered by Kei's existence that he talked to Kota and warned him that he should not be close to Kei but in that conversation Yuto found out that Kei didn't say anything to Kota yet. All along, Kei was pretending that he was a new person to Kota's life.
On the onsen, Yuto finally found a time to talk to Kei and confirmed things. Kei decided to tell him the truth as well why he didn't tell Kota the truth, why he was acting like there is nothing between them and then what is he really planning to do. That moment, he finally receive an answer to everything.
After hearing the story from Yuto, Daiki was dumbfounded and didn't know what to say. It's too much for his mind to comprehend and he was not expecting that things were so complicated between them.
"I… I didn't know Kei-chan.." Daiki whispered.
"He told me not to reveal the truth to anyone but I did told you. To make things happened, I am hoping you will remained in silence." Yuto said. "This is… his last favor he asked me."
"Are you… are you okay with this as well? Did you agree with Kei's plan?"
"I am."
"It's because you care for Kota as well right? Yo…you still love him like what I think."
"I… I love Kota but… my love for him is nothing compare to Kei have for him. I… I can't do anything for Kota even he was suffering. I am just there and watched him. how can I love someone when I can't do something to make him happy."
"But you stayed with him in those times that he was still recuperating from the start of his struggle with his amnesia. You stayed with him when he was still suffering from the traumatic event that happened to him. It's true that Kei-chan is doing his best for Kota but what you did for him in the past is not something to be forgotten."
"Stop fluttering me… I told Kei that I'm going to support him till the end and so… I am hoping that you will keep this a secret as well. Don't make his effort go to waste… this is something he wanted to do before…everything ends."
What should he do? That is what Daiki was thinking. He can understand Kei's motive and Yuto's reasoning why he accepted it but he think that its unfair… the plan was so unfair. Why do they need to sacrifice so many things just for the sake of forgiveness? It's not their fault, everything is someone else fault so why do they need to suffer? Not only Kei but also Yuto was doing their best to change what needs to be change. For sake of love, forgiveness and wishes that needs to be granted.
Daiki jolted when he heard his mother knocked on the door. It opened and he saw his mother showing him a coat that he was looking for a moment ago. "Here is your coat that you were asking me." she said.
"Thanks mom."
"You have problem? You keep on sighing since you come."
"Nothing… I am just happy that you are my mother." Daiki said.
Daiki's mother smiled and then hug him tightly. "Take care in France okay… me and dad will also follow you there to visit you so you must wait for us."
"I will."

Yuto followed Suzanne where ever she go. He was afraid that she will do something reckless because of what she found out. He wanted to call Kota but he didn't know how to explain what was happening and so he just set that aside and decided to fix things on his own. He always knew that Suzanne is a woman who was hard to handle. Since before and after the accident, she was so attached to her husband and every decisions she do was always connected to that man. Observing her before, he knew that she doesn't care much about Kota and that's one reason that she didn't like her at all.
"Aunty… where are you going?" Yuto asked her. "It's already evening… why don't you go back home already?"
"I'm going to the Inoo and get Kota away from him."
Yuto grabbed her hand and stop her from walking. "I'm sorry but I will not let you do that."
Suzanne slap Yuto's hand away from her. "How dare you tell that to me? After all the things I've done for you? Why are you not satisfied with what I did? Aren't you in love with Kota? I let you be closer to him… didn't you date each other? He falls in love on you… everything is because of me. All I am just asking was you to be silent and not tell him anything. But what did you do? You did worst than that. You left me out of nowhere… you didn't tell me about Kei… you didn't tell me that Kou and Kei already met each other."
"I'm tired of lying.. I'm tired of deceiving Kou anymore."
"Deceiving? You are not deceiving him Yuto… this is for his sake… everything that you are doing is for his sake."
"Do you think I didn't know anything? Do you think I didn't notice at all? For his sake? That's a big lie." Yuto answered back. "You didn't change at all Aunty… you still insist on what you wanted to do instead of thinking what Kota wanted in life. If only you can see him now that he was with Kei he was happier more than those times that he is with you nor with me. Are you planning to chase his happiness away again? Why are you doing this to him? Why don't you just leave him all alone?"
"Don't ever shout on me."
"But I hate the fact that you are locking Kota on your own. You wanted him to be in despair all this time. You never told him about his past memories, you tried to put fake memories on him, you stopped him from doing music since you knew its something that can relief him from despair and then you separate him from the person that he really cares. You tried to shoved Kei away from him. What is the reason behind for your actions? Why are you doing this to him? Why are you making his life miserable?"
"It's not something I should tell a brat like you."
"I am not a brat anymore… I am not someone who will obey everything you said."
"Then… what will you do? Tell Kota everything about who he was before? Then do.. And let him live not in despair but in hell. In his mind set now, if he knew the truth that he was an unwanted child, an abused child and unloved child what do you think will happen to him? He will just be destroyed and broken."
"Kota loves you…"
"That's the reason I am using that love to hurt him… painfully until he can't take it anymore."
"What kind of mother are you…"
"Yeah I know am bad...I am not a great mother to him. Why will I love a child who I didn't like in the first place? A certain man just rape me and then he was born. He brings misfortune in my life, Ryo started acting weird since he was born. I never like him… I never wanted him… because of his existence my life gone insane. Everything turned upside down… all my plans were ruined."
"H… he was not…"
"He was not… Ryo's son but because of him my husband died in that car crash."
"It was an accident… it's so low to blame it on Kou."
"No… I was sure it is his fault… before the accident happened Ryo called me and then I heard Kou's voice disturbing my husband on his drive. If he just stayed and didn't do anything then they will not met that accident and he didn't die. My husband's death needs justice coz it was not an accident… it was a murder done by him."
"Yo…you're going insane." Yuto muttered.

Kota went out of the bathroom after taking an hour long bath. "I thought you drown yourself already." Yuya joked.
"Well I planned to but I remembered we still have filming tomorrow." Kota answered and then he sit down while wiping his hair. He look around and noticed that Yuya's room was plain looking despite of his status in life. "Where did you go a while ago? Do you always come home late?"
"Well… I went on a date."
"Date? With Ryo?"
"I hope it was him but unfortunately it’s a girl."
"Why?"
"Why you asked? Because Ryo wanted me to date her." Yuya answered back. "I don't know what he was thinking but if this is what he wanted me to do then I will do it."
"Are you an idiot? Why will you date someone you don't like?"
"So what are you planning to do now?" Yuya asked ignoring Kota's question. "After knowing bits of truth… are you craving for more or… your starvation ended."
"I'll sleep." Kota said. "and then… if I'm hungry I'll eat." he continued. He lay down on the futon that Yuya put for him and covered his body with the blanket. He recalled everything that Yamato told him and that another boy was bothering him. When he heard his description, there is only one person that comes to his mind… but he wonder if it's the truth that he wanted to know.
