oh look an update!
yes yes been a while hasnt it? I've noticed livejournal and photobucket promptly HATE ME while I use linux. I'm sure there's some coding I'm not getting and what not. really I'm not smart or savy enough to be using Linux but I am.
Right so onwards! lets hope that LJ co operates long enough for me to post this....
Nothing terribly new on this frount. I've SLAMMED on the breaks of making anything really new. I'm SICK and TIRED of having my costumes jerry rigged onto me and needing 20 assistance to put it on. so I'm jsut goign to be smart about this and I'm going to take the costumes I have, fix and finnish them off. I have new rules for cosplay:
1: if it is not 100% complete it will not be worn
2: it can be complicated but only if i can put it on BY MYSELF
3:cosplay related gifts/semicomisions can only be made for OTHERS if my own said costumes are finnished FIRST
4: If i can't take photos in it.... dont make it
5: do not do the damned costume cause others are doing it or asked you to or for someone else.... its your hobby do it for yourself
this is myu hobby. I want to enjoy it. I want to beable to wear somethign with others that is FINISHED like they have. minor stuff is one thigns but holding a whole costume on by safty pins is unacceptable,.
apparently my comptuer cannot keep up with my spee dof typing so the spelling errors wil lbe much worse from here on out. I'm not slowing down...honestly dont ahv ethe time D< STUPID COMPUTER
I cant tell you how epic NDK was. my only complaint... I couldnt sleep in those darned beds D=. so if that's all I ahve to complain about really that's epic and awesome.
Being aske dto be a judge was beyone me. I had no idea I... me... who has nearly NO compleated costumes woudl be asked to be a judge. I think it was a monsterous honor! I got to sit with two of the Judges that I kinda feared last year [and all my years competing at NDK] and talk with them listen to their wisdom and everything. just... brilliant. Christina and Storm are awesome! Storm has a whicked sence of humor and Christina is so bubbily and epic its jsut awesome!
all the cosplays I got to see were jsut incredable gettign to sit down and ask people about their cosplays an dprod and see and feel what they've done was awesome! one group had a bunch of "progress we're workign on it" stuff. heavier set girls in tank tops and sports bras. I burst out laughing- at first theyw ere almost embarised and I GRINED pointign to the pictures "you know what I see in these pics?.... me! That's me the whole time as well in a tank top or sports bra and darned if the world cares! Good job!" they seamed to relax and smile as widly as I was. it was a good and heartneing statment it really was.
I got to see friends hang out touch basis wander the halls at 3 am when I couldnt sleep. I got to se ethe busy and allusive Mandy <3 talk with the epic Katie and meet new people. it was a WONDERFUL convention! there was no compairing it to the desaster that was last year.
work is work is work. after I was gone for NDK they saw that no rosa coudl NOT be a cake decorator and No damn it dont even THINK about alowing her to be so! lol the woman REFUSED to do her job. so 18 MONTHS later they finaly threw her on suspention and would deturmine her fate once some big wig HR person came back from a LOA XDDD fitting I think. I hated the bitch. she was nice. and I hated her. I hated her cause she was doing to me what Mona had done to her, she also took advantage of ANYANDEVERYTHING people did for her. I jsut cannot respect someone like that. she might ahv ebeen nice and smiled all the time but there's a great deal of deception that coudl be done with a smile like that. to me.... rosa was scum. throwing her self ont eh floor with a melodramatic posture cryign how hard life was how much america sucked and she just wished she'd DIE. serriously not lieing on that. she woud lbash america every chance she got and when she wasnt dogni that she was crying how she just wished she'd DIE. really...jsut relaly?
anyhow I left for two weeks. the waves of work came crashign in and they were force dto hire a NEW cakedecorator to suport me =DDD HURAY! though I lost the EPICLY AWESOME but way too leniant store manager we ahv ea new one...norma. I dont trust her as fara s I can throw her sorta thing. she likes her p's and q's in order and has the thoughts that it sthe employees that will be the destruction of the company. it's like... workig nunder the 6th squad captain Kuchiki.....shit.
eitehr way work is work and I'm dealing. I do need to get my work ethics back into order and work a LOT faster. vacation hand working way too much without releaif has left me lazy! speaking of.. guess what I'm late for haha
