Non-exhaustive 10 reasons why I'm thankful for my mom (in no particular order):

1.  She went through incredible discomfort and pain in giving birth to me which left her scarred (I was a difficult baby)

2.  She went through many trials and tribulations quietly with strength and without complaints, especially when I:
      a.  Hit my head at 1 climbing the furniture and had a huge lump which scared her to no end
      b.  Got lost with my best friend for 4 hours at 3 after we decided to go look for ghosts in the estate
      c.  Fell in head first into the washing machine at 3 whilst trying to look for treasure
      d.  Complained of breathing difficulties at 4 when I "accidentally" shoved 2 tiny metal buttons up my nostrils thinking that it would be cool to be able to snort them out and knock people out
      e.  Complained of breathing difficulties at 4 when I "accidentally" inhaled 15 grams of soap powder thinking that it would be cool to be able to breathe out soap bubbles

3.  She bought me my first gaming console from Nintendo

4.  She always kept a watchful eye over me even when in the kitchen (and especially so in the kitchen where I did most of my growing up)

5.  She imbibed me with the strong character and values which I have which now defines me.

6.  She sacrificed her many years of medical training to raise me.

7.  She taught my many life lessons including my touch-stone - to always be self-sufficient and never being a burden to others

8.  She gave me my first guitar

9.  She always supports me in whatever I do, from simple things like lending a listening ear to me when I go through my practices to giving me her perspective on important life decisions.

10.  She cooks for me every day without fail and always sits beside me while I eat to ask how my day is

11.  She is one of the few people who really helped me to understand what it meant to love unconditionally.

I don't know what I'll do without her.  Really.
