Just a quick note / review after lunch.
I don't usually follow the recent stars but Colbie Caillat's album Co Co is really quite awesome. Her lyrics are very tender and if you're into emo stuff, you might want to check her out. The lyrics are also quite contemplative and it helps that the piano and guitar work is quite mellow and sweet. Couple that with a rather husky, low voice which Colbie has and you get a pretty nice combination of tender rhythm.
Did I mention that she wrote or co-wrote all the stuff in her album? I always appreciate the sincerity of lyrics which generally can only be arrived at, or so I feel, by the effect of someone actually singing what he/she wrote (as opposed to the usual cop-outs who simply perform something somebody else wrote - I shan't name names).
Very talented girl.
