Both his situation, as well as that story you posted about are very tragic.
Gosh, I feel so sad and wish I could help in some way.
I know he wants to believe all she's telling him, but from what you've shared with us, there's something very fishy about it all. I truly hope all his questions are answered soon and I pray it's nothing worse.
There's a lot of sick and twisted people out there. They're clever with their words and know how to lure those who wear their 'hearts on their sleeve' and take great advantage of them and their kindness.
You're a very good sister and I think you have every right to look into this further; at least for your brother's sake. He obviously loves her and sometimes that 'love' can blind you and make you not want to see what is real. If worse comes to worse (and I pray that it doesn't), I hope he doesn't shed a tear for her and her treacherous ways.
I hope you keep us posted (if you want, of course) on how things turn out.
