Two great things I found today
The first of two great things I've found today has been around for awhile but I just got sent the link by my dad and I'm thrilled.
MIT's website offers 1800 free courses and lectures for download. It's a bunch of old courses they don't use anymore and so they've put them up for anybody to use. There's everything from science and technology to art, music, culture and literature. Pretty much anything you want to learn about, it's there. I'm going to have a ball with it.
The second is a thread on the Something Awful forums. If you enjoy the Lord of the Rings funny animated gifs like these, then you might want to check out this new thread

The same gang that came up with the 'catapult' animation is doing Matrix animations now. They're already shaping up to be legendary.
