She realized as she seen into his eyes
And into the future he was the unravller

Walking the paths others had followed
The hard truths others have swallowed

The time traveler spent so much time
To try to make it all right
but in the end it was a plightless fight

He lived and loved, tried to make everything right
The time traveler understood no matter what
He could not make things right

In the future or the present
His actions, his thoughts, his memories caused resentment

To be able to love another
To keep that hold of that good grace
Is to walk the world like walking on snow
And to leave no trace
