Who: JD, Janitor, Dr. Cox, open
Where: On-call lounge
When: Between eleven pm and one am

JD hated dry spells.

He hadn't gotten any since...well... "the incident" (quotes and underlines in his mind) with one Jordan Sullivan. Ever since, he'd actually had a small fear of sleeping with *any*one else around the hospital, just in *case* they might be ( Read more... )

Unfortunately for JD, he'd forgotten the most important rule of working with Janitor: Never turn your back to any empty doorway. Currently, a long stick was angled out of the door directly behind JD, and that stick just happened to be pushing a skateboard right behind JD's feet. When it came to a rest, the stick was pulled back, and the door shut with a clink.

A few moments later, Janitor emerged inconspicuously from the elevator, whistling as pulled out his cart to mop. Okay, I'll have to bribe the woman in that room not to mention my hospital wall scaling abilities, but other that, no one can put this on me. He grinned in happiness, turning his head and leaning on the mop to watch the show about to unfold. The skateboard just happened to be directed towards the ladder in the hall holding two cans of bright pink paint (he'd swiped them from the guys renovating the children's wing) and a bag of chicken feathers (thank you Troy!)

Scooter's gonna be the prettiest chicken in this coop he thought to himself, chuckling. Though I've got ( ... )

Perry walked past the ladder, giving it only a curious glance before searching for whomever could have left it there. Not far away he saw the Janitor, looking inconspicuous, which only meant something had to be up. Not that he cared, of course, it was only fair to leave people to their own affairs, but the ladder was taking up valuable hallway space.

"Hey, Lurch, could you maybe not leave your toys where the grown ups are walking?" he called out as he stalked closer.

JD looked up at Dr. Cox's voice. 'There he is...' He backed away to start walking towards him, but felt his foot hit something else solid and *not* unmoving.

'Oh no...no...no, no, no' JD's thoughts turned into a very verbal shriek of horror as he realized he was on a skateboard. He dropped the chart he'd been holding as he went backwards, and plunged headlong into a ladder.

JD hit the ground with a thud, and felt something both wet and airy splash over him in a curtain of bright pink and white. When he opened his eyes again and wiped at them, he looked down at the stained floor.

JD glared over at the Janitor as he realized he was covered in pink paint and...*feathers*?!

"What the hell, man?" JD yelled at him, frustrated as he lifted his arms to make his point. "What have I *ever* done to you? Come *on*!"

Janitor put the best "Who, Me?" look on his face. "Now if I wanted to do something, would I go through all this elaborate trouble just for a few good laughs?"

Of course I would.

He turned to look at Dr. Cox as he stalked over. "Do I look like I use pink paint often to you? Uh, nu uh."

Perry watched JD with interest, the Janitor all but forgotten as the kid flailed and skated straight into the paint and... feathers? His brows knit as he watched the now tarred-and-feathered, very gay chicken man emerge from the mess.

"Nice of you to join us, Chicken Little," he greeted, nodding curtly at JD before turning back to the Janitor. "I guess it doesn't really matter who did it now. You're the one who's gonna be cleaning it up, aren't you?" he smirked, shit eating grin spread wide across his face. "Can't say it wasn't worth the effort, though," he laughed, eyes turning back to Newbie. It really should stop surprising him that he looked that good in such girly girly colors.

Janitor nodded. So worth it. "For something like this, I don't mind cleaning up at all. Though considering the look you're giving Scooter, perhaps you'd like to go help him clean himself off?" He gave a wry grin, ignoring a slight pang in his chest and raising his eyebrows as if to give Dr. Cox the hint.

JD glared up at both of them and tried to get to his feet, but slipped and fell back down with a thud.

"I can clean myself off, thank you!" His inner thoughts proudly proclaimed that he hadn't needed any help since age fourteen, thank you very much. "Just...stay away!"

JD tried to get up, but his sneakers slipped with another squeak as he hit the ground again. This time, he righted the fallen ladder and carefully pulled himself up. He glared back at Janitor and Dr. Cox, and noted that Dr. Cox was, indeed, giving him an odd stare.

JD shrugged it off and stalked away to clean himself up, treading carefully so his shoes didn't slip once more.

Perry threw the Janitor a 'What the HELL are you talking about' glare before again staring off in the now departing JD's direction. And because he was departing, he couldn't help but notice the weird pattern the paint and feathers had made across his butt where he'd fallen on it. "Huh."

He turned back to the man standing next to him and leveled him with a stare. "What was with that anyway? Some kind of disturbing set up to get me and Newbie shirtless and necking? Because my GOD, not only are you wasting your time but you have GOT to get a hobby, or the internet, or something! I can't even... just..." he shuddered, shaking the image he'd placed in his head of JD topless with those pouty lips and great big glassy doe-eyes...

He snarled and turned on his heel, heading for somewhere else to be.

"Denial is the first step in accepting your love! Look to the stars, they shall guide you!" Janitor shouted as Perry stalked off, chuckling to himself. Those two were so easy to get reactions from. If only Blond Doctor would have a bigger reaction when he tried to do something nice for her...

Looking down, he spotted JD's pink paint footsteps trailing down the hallway, and grinned, hoisting his mop handle. Maybe Scooter would like a hand washing up? I'm sure I could help him out... He dragged his mop cart along and followed the footsteps, whistling in anticipation and checking to make sure the mop was good and soaked with water for use.

JD walked away, oblivious to the conversation behind him. He looked at his paint-streaked scrubs with a disgusted frown; they were his *favorites*...they fit *just* the right way to make him look not as skinny as he was.

With a sigh, JD stripped off the two ruined shirts, but looked at them again. With a thoughtful frown, held up the scrubs top.

"This'll be perfect for Halloween...I can be the pink-people eater," he said with a far off look, and hung them up in his locker to dry.

Stripping down to his boxers, JD entered the showers to begin the task of washing the pink paint and feathers from his hair and body.

Still, he did have a quick thought that his hair looked *awesome* with pink streaks in it.

Janitor frowned when he heard the sounds of running water. Damn, he probably already made it to the showers...

It was as if a lightbulb went off in his head, and Janitor gave a sly grin, slipping into the locker room quietly, mop cart in tow. He saddled over to JD's locker, whirled the combination (it was silly for the kid to think he could keep something like a locker combo from getting into the wrong hands), and opened it to see two new sets of scrubs and the currently ruined top.

And a few moments later he was gone out the door, whistling a jolly tune as he walked away. The clean scrubs were now soaked through with water, and there was a little paper note on top of them that read: Thought I'd help you get extra squeaky clean! Cheers!

Sometimes, it was just too easy.

JD rubbed a towel wildly over his hair, and grinned at the mirror as he surveyed the mop-top of dark hair he had swished into something akin to devil horns by rubbing ( ... )
