so my extremely long winter break is almost over. during this break, i have only seen one person from SF, which i find ok b/c i needed to spend time with people @ home. she told me about a conversation she had with one of out friends from SF, and he was telling her that when we all get back from break, some people will be the same and some will be different. she told me- monica, u better not be different b/c i'll kick your ass. i didn't think that i was "different" or that i "changed," but something did happen during this break.
in the beginning of this vacation, i was missing school like no other. i missed the people and the fact that i couldn't walk up or down a couple of flights of stairs to see a familiar face killed me. but as the break progressed, i was reminded more and more of the past years of my life. the environment here had remained undisturbed even though we all moved away, and coming back to that was the best gift i have ever received. one of my good friends told me something that i've been thinking a lot about. it hit me off guard, but i'm glad he said it, b/c it is the truth. and even though he told me whatever, i still haven't done/said something to someone. and given the opportunity, i probably wouldn't say anything still. i've learned many different things during my break...some are funny (maybe not to everyone) and some are thought provoking, but they all have a story to go behind them.
here are a few
- some people mature a lot faster than others
- some people never change (which can be a good thing)
- drugs can have a very bad effect on ur brian, causing you to tell random people about your life while waving ur semen around in a little pill bottle.
- u don't need to know people well to have a good conversation with them
- he's just not that into you
- there's nothing like hanging out with friends, whether it's at a restaurant, coffee shop, or someone's house
- when under the influence, one says/does some of the stupidest shit, but for the most part, it's incredibly entertaining and memorable
"hi ku!..yo whaddup" "peep da creep"
- there is no such thing as "perfect" (which is a good thing)
- even though u may be many miles apart from the people you love, you're only a short phone call away
