I am finally watching some goddam World Cup.
Saturday: Germany/Sweden. I don't think I've seen such a bunch of desperately flailing flailers since college. I'm referring to Sweden, btw.
Today: England/Ecuador. This is sexy football, don't care what the 'murrican sportsheads say. Ecuador's got some tight defense, which is good; they're weak on attack and ball control, which is not the best way to go, even if you're trying to wear down your more temperately-climated opponents. Ecuador's passing is... blech, so far. England, on the other hand, hasn't really gotten past Ecuador's defense, and frankly, I think the "single striker" formation ain't for shit. Bad choice, coach. Bad.
