Mixer's Notes: Made for Music and Mixes Month over at runaway_tales and waywardmixes' Round 12: Family. Martin Family Life is one of my oldest original verses, the other being The Alerian Chronicles. What started out as a a roleplay of self-insert Backstreet wives has evolved into so much more. In it current incarnation, the story revolves around Erica and Quentin, paternal first cousins. It's nothing that can really be novel length, it works best as a series of one-shots that depict various parts of their lives. Also, I wanted to do the Carters, I did. I even started the mix. But it wasn't meant to be.
Erica:
Erica is insecure at best, depressive at worst. She's never happy in her life and always needs reassuring that her husband (who is currently named Blake, but might change) really does love her for who she is, even going so far as to threaten to leave him.

Quentin likes to be the family protector. Between Erica's insecurity issues, and the fact that his younger sister, Sarah, has Down Syndrome, he's always felt like he needed to be the one to protect everyone, even if sometimes he's the one that needs protecting (that's what his husband, Aidan, is there for)
