Mixer's Notes: Made for waywardmixes' Round 9: Angst. For those who don't know, The Social Network is a movie based on the book The Accidental Billionaires by Ben Mezrich. The Accidental Billionaires (and subsequently, The Social Network) is about the founding of Facebook. The movie is very much more "based on a true story" than anything else (for example, there was never any Erica Albright - the real Zuckerberg dated, and later married, Priscilla Chan), but if you ignore those facts it's an amazing movie in its own right. On the other hand, Mark and Eduardo's friendship (and its fiery end) is, from what I've read, pretty true to life. And very, very angsty. The deposition scenes are a mushroom cloud of angst and lost love. Anyway, I've been working on this mix for ages, since about February of last year, when I first discovered "Falling Down," the first track on this mix, and from the first listen went, "OMG Nick Carter ships Mark/Eduardo! :D:D:D" and thus the desire for this mix was born, and as I was building it was tempted to subtitle it "a.k.a. the Backstreet Boys tell the tale of Mark and Eduardo's doomed romance" You'll see why.
