Gamers from our Past and Present

(I posted the same thing in Facebook but didn't want to miss anyone so I'm putting it here too)

Okay.. since I'm uber-bummed that we won't be going to GenCon this year (first time since we started going waaaaay back in 1993) I've had a thought... if we can schmooze a sis-in-law to watch the girls for a Friday-Saturday night combo at some point during the summer we'd like to host 'A Gaming Weekend of Old'... or as we'd like to call it ForneyCon. I miss the near-all night gaming sessions when characters were awesome, the roleplaying was intense and the permafrost shots were a gaming break staple.

Would anyone be interested in a gathering of this sort? We'd have to figure out if it would be a weekend of just one long game or several smaller games (with multiple people running this at the same time).. whether it would be table-top, larp (ah, how I miss thee larp) or a mixture of the two. We'd also need to figure out when would be good for all (or most).

Oh, we'd also need people interested in running and playing, of course.

Any takers? Anyone? (dangles a dicebag in a 'you-know-you-want-to' sort of way ;)
