Not at all. It's a trait that would benefit many people, rare as it is. Those are quite a set of questions to be asking, though.

I was wondering. I heard the people in the cathedral talk about it sometimes when I Pamela would take me in there. They usually mentioned the seventh when they did [ and would stare at him, which scared him like nothing else. ] but I didn't understand most of it.

The seventh... replica? [god, how many ion look-alikes were running around in his world.] Did the seventh replica die?

[ ONLY SEVEN, HONEST. After a minute or two of thinking, recalling Moh's words the day he was taken from the Tower for the first time, he nods. ]

[oh. okay, so he's dealing with the last surviving clone ion out of a decent line of clone ions.

Aa, truly? What a waste. Was it surprising for you to be the one to make it? [he's trying to word this delicately (sort of), but there's really no way to ask why he of all the replicas managed to survive. he is kind of derpy...]

Only Seven will be taken. [ His explanation is completely repetition from memory, and his face goes blank. He'd heard the words enough times to have them practically imprinted in his brain by now and he can repeat them without thought. Zaleho isn't the best memory for him. ]

Failures are to be disposed of by being left in the Zaleho volcano. 'Recon' will be done later, to make sure there is no more 'evidence'.

[ He pauses. ]

The 'synchron rate' is high, but 'mobility' is low.

While the Sxith's survival of of the required disposal is unexpected, it will prove beneficial. It will be stored in the Tower of Rem in case the Seventh dies or refuses his role.

[and this totally fits in with the mental image he is slowly forming of this small and apparently mildly dim child. so he was left in a volcano, somehow survived and chilled out in a tower for god knows how long.

well it explained his lack of knowledge about anything ever, at least.]

Ah, I see. Were you ever able to leave the tower? Before now, that is.

[ And he's not sure how to answer that. Did he ever really get to leave? No. He didn't see the outside of the tower --the outside of his room-- until he was taken for the final time. He'd gotten to run down the corridors, a few minutes of freedom, before he was being yelled at and hit, locked in his room, and never let out no matter how much he yelled. ]

I...wanted to look. I think the tower was really big. I wanted to look around. But Mohs got angry, and started yelling at me, and he locked the door to my room. He wouldn't unlock it after that.

I didn't like it.

[maybe a normal person would have reacted strongly to something like that - after all, who locks a small child in a room in a tower for who knows how long? but this is hao and he has seen thousands of years of this scenario. the cruelty of humans isn't strange or out of place to him since he's come to expect it, and all he does is nod.]

You have the outdoors here, at least. Use your time wisely; dronings occur at random in some cases.

[ The lack of reaction doesn't seem to bother him in the least. He'd gotten one from Pamela and Oliver, though he'd been confused as to what had been so wrong with his situation. No, he didn't like it, but that was just how it was, right? ]
