What is 'dying'?

Does it hurt to 'die'?

I died before I got here, and I've died a few times while here. Does it hurt? Well that all depends on how it happens. Sometimes, it does.

Not where I'm from. I died, then ended up here in Mayfield. But if you die in Mayfield, you wake up the next morning no worse for wear.

Generally, once you're dead, you're dead. Which is why no one's convinced me out of the thought that Mayfield is some sort of twisted version of the afterlife.

That's a hard question to answer. The act of dying, well, it is what it is. Every human dies eventually. But people don't usually look kindly on murder.

I can't answer for the human race in that respect. There's all kinds of reasons. Anger, hate, war... some people do it for money. Or fun.
