Massive Makeup Revolution Swatchfest!!!

May 30, 2015 22:48

Haay~ Yet another long hiatus... (though not as long as last time, haha)

Recently I've been really into makeup, and the brand Makeup Revolution, and have bought a few things from them.

It's technically two hauls, but I'm lazy and a procrastinator, so I'm doing all of it into one. This is gonna be long... and image-heavy...

I'll go through a collection in general, then each palette, then shade by shade (where applicable)

First up is their ULTRA Professional Eyeshadow palettes, which contain 32 shadows!!
All of the shadows are soo soft! It's like pigment and silk had a baby! The colours vary in pigmentation, but they all look gorgeous!

ULTRA Professional Eyeshadows - Flawless Matte

I LOVE this palette! It quickly took over from my MUA Ever After palette for everyday makeup.
Each column has a colour family, just getting darker as you go down, and they blend so well! Great for smokey eyes!

Flaw - Gorgeous off-white, perfect for highlighting without any glitter/shimmer.
Nutmeg - Slightly yellow-cream colour.
Pearl - My favourite shade! Matches my skin-shade flawlessly, I use this as a base before any other colour.
Matte - The lightest brown shade, nice for starting a gradient/smokey eye.
Shell - A light pinky-brown.
Chrome - A brown with no red undertones.
Cork - A kind-of khaki-brown.
Stone - Grey-khaki type of colour.

Cool - A mustardy colour.
Sand - Yellow with a hint of brown.
Fawn - A soft brown, I like using this one for my crease.
Muse - A peachy-brown, sounds weird, but it's really pretty, slightly orangey.
Warm - Pinky-brown, almost 'minky'.
Mud - Dark brown with no red undertones.
Leather - Grey-brown.
Smoke - Blue-grey.

Antique - The kind of brown you see on light brown hair.
Nut - Dark mustard.
Taupe - I wouldn't call this 'taupe', more of a middle-of-the-road brown, not too red, not too green.
Rosewood - Just like Muse, but a bit darker.
Rust - Orangey-brown
Bear - Grey-brown with slight green/khaki undertones.
Olden - Ashy-brown.
Charcoal - Blue-grey, just a bit darker than Smoke.

Soft - Khaki.
Oak - Dark mustard.
Bark - Almost a purple-brown
Warm - Like Muse and Rosewood, but darker again. Nothing like the other Warm (no.6, 2nd row).
Burnt - A bit darker than Rust.
Wood - Dark brown with no red undertones, almost khaki.
Earth - Brown with slight red undertones, nice for darkening the outer-V.
Carbon - Black but not pitch black, almost a very dark grey.

ULTRA Professional Eyeshadows - Mermaids Forever

Just LOOK at those colours!! The greens and purples are what made me buy this palette. All of the shadows are shimmery, but some not as much as others. Great blendablility~
Where I've written 'shimmer' means that it's more of a 'topper' as in it could slihgtly change the look of other shadows with the slight shimmer as their pigmentation isn't a block of colour.

This row is SUPER light, more shimmer than anything, but still pretty~

Forever - A white shimmer, perfect for a shimmery highlight~
Bay - A golden shimmer.
Myth - A pimk shimmer.
Song - A purple/lilac shimmer.
Mermaids - Light periwinkle blue.
Fishtail - The most prettiest gren with turquoise shimmer ever!
Treasure - Light brown/bronze shimmer.
Imagine - Silver shimmer.

Seashell - An iridescent silvery shimmer.
Creature - Pale orange.
Magic - Light pink, very cute.
Urchin - Lilac with slight pink/red undertones, not very pigmented...
Sea - BLUE. 'nuff said.
Land - A bit darker/more pigmented than Fishtail.
Kingdom - Brown, less bronzey than Treasure.
Harmony - Grey with silvery shimmer.

Enchant - This one disappears into my skin... It's a super-pale peachy shimmer.
Starfish - Orangey-gold shimmer.
Pretty - Pink, slightly darker than Magic.
Princess - Lilac with more blue undertones than Urchin. Again, not very pigmented.
Waves - True blue.
Turtle - Khaki-green shimmer.
Mineral - Brown shimmer.
Prince - Dark grey.

Future - Champagne shimmer.
Ariel - Dark orange.
Pink Sea - Red with pink undertones (the picture shows it more orangey...)
Ocean - Blue-lilac, love it!
Splash - Dark blue-black, I struggled to get this one to show up...
Undersea - Khaki shimmer.
Seabed - Darker than Mineral.
Whale - Black with teeny-tiny glitter.

Tick Tock - Golden-brown.
Can't Find The Brake - Rose gold.
Moving Car - A warmer shade to Tick Tock.

Redemption Palette - Mermaids vs Unicorns

I've used this a bit, so sorry for the scrapes in the shadows...
Also, no names for these shadows... but I'll just number them 1-12. All shadows are shimmery.

The Mermaid side
1 - Green.
2 - Turquoise.
3 - Light blue.
4 - Periwinkle blue.
5 - Medium blue.
6 - Dark blue.

The Unicorn side
7 - Dark purple, almost an eggplant colour.
8 - Pink-red.

10 - Blue-purple.
11 - Indigo.
12 - Black with little glitters.

Next is the mono eyeshadows, I got 4 of these.

Mono Eyeshadows - Various

the pigmentation for all of them is amazing!

Get Ready! - Neon Orange.
Eden - Slytherin-green, that is all I can think of.
Insomnia - Plumy-purple
Base! - Shimmery white.

Onto the blushes~~

The ONE Blush Sticks - Various

These blushes are such a quick way to get a bit of colour on your face, and they blend away to give a really natural look, which is a HUGE plus for me.

There's no names physically on the packaging, but they do have names.

Dream Matte - Light pink, leaning towards peach.
Pink - Pink with slight undertones.

ULTRA Blush Palette - Golden Sugar

No names for the blushes, so numbers are back~

1 - White shimmer, perfect for overall highlight for pale skin.
2 - Light pink shimmer.
3 - Pink, not as shimmery as the rest, could serve as a blush
4 - Gold shimmer.
5 - Champagne shimmer.
6 - Pink-brown shimmer.
7 - Bronze shimmer.
8 - Neutral brown, can be used as contour, but not good pigmentation (ie; you need to layer it soo many times for it show up) I have to lightly scrap the top to get this swatch.

Bulletproof Brows - Light to Medium

As you can see, I've been using this for a little while, and the dent in the 'eyebrow arch enhancing cream' is due to the mini-tweezers rolling about... T^T

Powder 1 - Blonde.
Powder 2 - Medium brown.
Wax 1 - Blonde, though sometimes shows up too 'red' on my medium brown brows.
Powder 3 - Brown with slight red undertones.
Powder 4 - Neutral brown, and isn't as dark as it looks in the pan (thankfully).
Wax 2 - Brunette, and when used sparingly, looks exactly like my natural brows.
Eyebrow Arch Enhancing Cream - White, but blends into the skin, though it's not fair for those with darker skin, they should have included two creams...
Highlighter - Pale white shimmer.
Eyebrow Pencil - Blonde.

Onto the liners!!!!

Lipliners - ALL!

Ain't they pretty~?

Nearly Naked - Almost white.
Baby Pink - The palest pnk ever.
The One - Nude, but not too orangey.

Depraved - Lilac.
