Never give your PowerBook beer. It can't hang. I managed to save the machine, but the keyboard is hosed. Well, I got the keyboard working again but the space bar is dead due to an oxidized flexible ink trace. Went to Fry's and bought liquid silver conductive paint and attempted to get it to play nice. No dice. The cheapest I can find a keyboard for is $99 and that's for a used one. Fucking hell. Keyboard is dead. CPU fan is dead. Power connector is barely working. This machine really is on its last legs.
Looks like I'm going to be figuring out how to pay for a new MacBook Pro a bit sooner than I expected. Not having my laptop is going to present a major problem. I can't afford to buy a new machine either. Yes, Viddyou is funded now, but it's seed money that we need for development costs and transcoding apps.
Seriously - anyone got $3000 they want to invest in Viddyou? Viddyou is 3 months ahead of our numbers and rapidly growing. I will give up some of my own equity (worth more) in exchange.
