*Del is out and about today! A list in one hand, her whiteboard tucked snuggly under her arm, communicator stuffed into her pocket, and a half-hearted wish for a car accompanying her.*
Okay, I'm gonna give this a shot. He's not really talkative but dammit I'll try. B|hiddenscalpelsMay 27 2011, 04:54:54 UTC
[Black Jack is out and about after checking up on that Gouka kid. He really got himself into a mess, but it doesn't seem to be anything new for the young man.
It's been a while since he's taken a nice walk anyway. He needs to get some fresh air and clear his head. Staying around those Shades for too long seems to sap the life out of you.
He spots Del and barely raises an eyebrow at her whiteboard, but doesn't say anything as their paths get closer.]
*A hesitant nod, followed by a quick scribble on the whiteboard.* Been here for a week, I think. Maybe a little more? *she's not entirely certain, nor does it really matter much.*

That's what everyone says.
*That could be a shy smile.* I do talk some now. Mostly just to Shinju because he can't see what I write. It's difficult, but I guess it could be worse.
Given enough time you can figure out most anything.
At least he seems to be the understanding type. [He's glanced in on him every now and then since he's been in the hospital--he is a doctor, after all. He can't really help himself.]
Have you tried the text function on the comms? He gets his to read them aloud. Might make it easier on both of you.
That's true enough. It's just the want to figure it out that is.... lacking at the moment *a wan smile. She honestly doesn't have a lot of interest in much of anything these days.*
*Nods* He's very nice. He knew a 'me' that was here before, apparently. *pause, blink* Text function? The thing has a text function? *she obviously didn't play with it too much after the camera incident of the other day.*
I don't blame you. This place is a bit much to think about. [He still doesn't like it.]
Huh. Interesting.
[He moves to take out his own from his jacket pocket and steps close enough for her to see.] Under this menu. [And he scrolls down for her to see.] It's easy enough to use. [He puts the device back in his pocket again once he's sure she's seen it.]

*She notices him as well, and with shy reserve, gives him a bow of greeting.*

[Pauses. Eh, he'll bite.] Voice problems?

*She waves her hand side to side in a 'sorta' gesture.* I can speak if I push myself. Or if it's necessary.

Is it a physical issue, or--?

*Headshake* Emotional. I've been told that I'll get better over time.

Ah. [He gives a short nod of understanding.] When you start speaking more, I can recommend something to make it a bit easier on your throat.

Weird is more like it. I almost want to ask, but then again, I really don't think I want to know.
*She watches, then nods, and that's a shy smile of gratitude. Though she probably should use her voice more, that'll definitely make things easier.*

Might not be too bad, but maybe ignorance is bliss in this case. I can't really say either way; I never know what to expect in this City.

*a nod* I think I would be.... jealous of her. So I don't want to ask. No point in opening that particular door.
