(no subject)
I Was just talking to someone about live journal tonight and realised I have'nt updated for so long that it was about time I did. I've had a fantastic year so far and hope to continue updating this.
I am now living up in Auckland and having the time of my life flatting and working but as with all new things there are the positives and negatives. Every friday we get to go out as a group me and the flatemates and we have done same amazing tings so far this year. We have been to devonport and saw the war tunnels, Been to Parakai over inght to there amazing hot pools, Been horse riding, absailing and to camp adair and that was all just in the first term!.
I am now working at Homai national school for the blind for my work experience as an educational support person and I think the job is amazing. I have been told by some people that I am crazy for doing something like that but I get such a bazz out of it when I see one of the students smile or laugh when they achieve one of there small goals becouse it is really important to them as they can not see, talk or walk.
I am undertaking a certificate in teacher aiding so I can continue doing this type of amazing work.
We have just come back from the holidays which was awesome Drinking, shopping, swimming just great.
I had the Southern cross games in the holiday which was cool. It was a swimming, athletic and goalball competition between students who were blind or visually impaired from Australia, New Zealand and Samoa and I got a silver medal which was the highlight of my year to date.
Came back to kickstart on wednesday and had work on thursday yay. Had a great friday outing on friday we went to spookers and got treated to their haunted house tour. It was cool seeing all the actors and props and skeletons.
I got signed of to Manakau on Wednesdat which was great as I am now allowed to go there by myself without a second year yau, so that is where I went today shoppig and to the libray FUN!!!
The hardest thing about living in the house is having to resppect 6 other people. If anyone has any comments on how to get on with others then can you post here
