work was pretty okay today. the day felt long as hell but i got a lot done. went to the benefits fair this morning, which wasted a good hour and fifteen minutes of my 8.5 hour day. definitely a plus. signed up for all sorts of silly drawings and will hopefully win something sweet. the ERC holidy banquet is coming up on the 9th and for once im really excited about it. the girls and i have decided to make a night of it! michelle, brittany, mai-lee, and i will all get dolled up in some killer cocktail attire. we'll bring our male counterparts, tuck away a little booze in our handbags, and have a grand time! we're going to reserve a table for the 8 of us. its going to be super fun! steve has already agreed to go, which is good since i bought his ticket today without asking. go me. lol
went to a big birthday celebration dinner tonight with steven. his stepmom's birthday is in the next couple of weeks and she was having her annual dinner with 3 of her friends who also have birthdays this month. it was a pretty good sized group...15 or so. decent chinese food. i was a good girlfriend and got her a blank card with this gorgeous hydrangea on it. wrote something sweet in it and wished her a happy birthday. suffice it to say, she adores me. and hey...thats the whole point, right? meanwhile, steven didn't get her a card or anything. what a bad son. but its cool cuz it makes me look even better by comparison. w00t!
after dinner steven and i headed to his sister's house in kennewick and just relaxed. cuddled on the couch watching tv while his sister was out doing something. then she came home and we all goofed off and watched tv and such. she is the sweetest, nicest, most genuine person i've ever encountered.
so yeah around 8:30 i headed home. steven was going out for drinks with his best friend brendan. he asked if i would come pick them up if things got out of hand tonight and they found themselves in no condition to drive. i said no because im selfish and just want to sleep...i have to be up for work at 6 tomorrow morning. by the time i got home i had worried myself sick over the whole thing and had to call him. let him know that if he needed me i'd be here and i'd come pick him up. i'd rather lose some sleep than have him being stupid and trying to drive drunk. but dammit that doesnt mean i wont whine about it when i have to wake up and drive clear to the other side of the tri-cities. fortunately, the guys had already had 2 drinks and decided to spend the evening in. he was on his way to brendan's to watch a movie. i feel MUCH better knowing that hes not going to be driving drunk and i'm not going to be waking up at 2 in the morning to pick his drunk-ass up.
anyway. i kinda adore this guy and i'm sorry if all this talking about him is nauseating for the rest of you. bwahahahaha.
tracey, if you read this call me. are you going to be in seattle for thanksgiving or are you headed home to muck-town? if you're in seattle i might come pay you a visit because i'm headed to port orchard with steven for the holiday. i've got 5 days off (thursday thru monday) so theres plenty of time to get together and spend some time with one another. also, did i leave a stack of credit cards and gift cards and such at your place when i was in town the 2nd to last time? not over halloween but the time before? cuz i cant find them. and i'm wondering if i ought to cancel my credit cards. lol i probably should have taken care of it sooner. anyway call me!
