Eric in Chicago!
Yes yes yes, I saw him AGAIN!!!!! Here's the drill. I'm at Funky Buddha with Mo and I'm waiting for the dork doorman to not be busy so I can tell him I'm with a VIP group. Well before that chance came, I notice a car pull up just before the line...is that...OMG!!!! Mo look...is that him?
Uh yeah, it is..Eric Benet.
So I catch his hand as he passes, tell him the magic word...that stops him in his tracks...LOL Fan Club secret folks. So he gives me a hug and thanks me and they (he and his group, 4 people) get me and Mo inside. I just asked him kindly for a pic after getting inside. Too bad I had to run back to my car to get my camera. Go fig, I can't harass the man to save my life! I wait till I see he's not in the middle of a convo, get my pic, thank him profusely and get the hell out of the way! Maybe I'll try to hang more at an actual event with the club. He looked like he was having a great time and I really didn't want to annoy him. I found RF, who was the reason I was going in the first place on the other side and immediately returned to Mo in VIP where we realize we're seeing ANOTHER celebrity... Archie Kao! We had a drink, Mo and I and I eventually went to get my pic with Eric. I somehow got in Archie's path and he bumped into me (no seriously, I was looking one way and he the other and bam). He apologized, I'm like it's no problem, I'm sorry, aren't you that actor...? He's like yes. OMG, my friend so noticed you! I told him go do your thing I'll catch you when you come back. He was about to leave and I got him, his friend and Mo in a shot. Foolish me, I should've had his friend take the pic. So me and Mo chill, as again, I don't know how to just stay up under Eric and he's rolled out with like 3 chicks and I don't feel like getting death looks from them, though one was cool. Well the place closed and once outside (cause the ladies were JOCKING for the last minute dance and photos with him), and I thanked him (I swear he reduces me to a blabbering nerd!) and asked for a hug (I swear I didn't even think of touching the booty), and kept it moving.
So the highlight of my HELLISH week (cause I'm still hurting from the robbery and I haven't told y'all what happened Friday afternoon)...was meeting Eric and Archie...
