This whole situation boils down to this: LJ chose their pocketbooks over the LJ users.
Warriors for innocence has been after LJ to shut down the sites they didn't like for at least a couple months now. It wasn't until they went to the people that advertise on LJ that something was done about this. WfI learned from the Don Imus incident...if you want to censor someone, go after their advertisers.
Now it's biting them in the ass, as paid users are leaving LJ, which probably account for more money than the few advertisers they've scrounged up since doing their 'plus account' bs.
