She actually quotes the Watchmen comic in her profile. She sees herself as some sort of vigilante fighting for justice.

There's so much more I'm thinking, but I don't want to invoke the US eqivalent of Godwin's Law. It would be so very easy.

Right, because quoting Rorschach shows that you're completely sane...

"United States of America Deportation Squad"

Lovely. Not only am I going to get bah-leeted for my fandom-loving ways, but apparently I'm going to get deported too.

Can they deport people whose great-grandparents were undocumented immigrants? Back then, all you had to do was buy a ticket on a boat and not have tuberculosis, and it was all good...

No. I think even if your great-grandparents were undocumented immigrants if you were born in the States you're still considered an American citizen.

But then again, I think logic has no place in her world. We're all probably gonna get deported.

Nope, not as long as your grandparents were born Stateside (at least this is how the law is now; the very racist asshats we're talking about are pushing to remove birthright citizenship...as a minor aside, this is also a thing that is pushed massively by "religious right" dominionist groups in the hope that if birthright citizenship is revoked that they can disenfranchise non-dominionists, women, minorities, etc.).

And in regards to "undocumented" folks...well, let's just say that my family was technically "undocumented immigrants" from about 1830 up to 1936, despite the fact that my family had only been in the country for the past few thousand years or so beforehand. (1830 is the last Cherokee census my family ancestors show up on; during the Trail of Tears they hid out (some of my family having bailed for Kentucky earlier). People hid out as "Black Dutch" till the 1870s, hid their Cherokee heritage till well in the 30's, because technically they could forcibly "remove" you to Oklahoma as recently as 1879 and Native Americans were ( ... )

Please do...I was stunned to see some of the views she has regarding other issues.

Censorship is a dangerous thing...and most often the result of pressure from people of this woman's caliber.

I keep thinking about book burnings and what went on during the Inquisition.

I wonder if Six Apart will admit to being rooked by a person with these kinds of personal philosophies.

Done, along with some extensive personal commentary of mine (I did searching on some of the sites in question--as it turns out, "Warriors for Innocence" may in fact be just a small part of a fairly extensive network of Christian Reconstructionist militia members and militia sympathisers largely managed by Sues and "Texas Fred", they are promoting at least one frank Christian Reconstructionist for the presidency, and there is one other group on Blogspot that the same folks run where they are literally accusing anyone who complains re their activity of being paedophiles (and, as an aside, also admitting they are sending in complaints to LJ's parent company based *entirely* on finding specific words in LJ profiles or entries without any attempt to verify the actual content of the sites).

Wow, thank you for posting about your experience. That was a fascinating - and terrifying - read.

The more this develops, the more I think it has to be an elaborate troll. This is like Fred Phelps marching into the Gay Pride Parade...

But hasn't he done that?

Probably, but he's the very definition of a troll if he has...

I thought he made himself that when he (apparently) jumped up onstage during a moment of silence in honor of those killed on September Eleventh and started screaming that it was the fault of gays and liberals.
