My comment to the "Warriors of Innocence"--hoping for a reply.

"If you want to fight predators and the like, this most certainly is not the way to do it. While I believe full-heartedly that your intentions were honest and just, this type of thing should be left only to those whom have had the required training, and those whom have been approved by the government to do so. As I cannot find proof of any such recognition by searching through your website and blogs, I can only deduce that you have merely tried to act of your own volition.

If you really wanted to help people in the world you should have gone about it in a more tactful manner. While you may have been able to catch one or maybe even two *actual* predators out there, the amatuer fashion in which you chose to conduct yourself affected more the innocent third parties whom used LJ for role-playing. The predators were probably the LEAST affected by what you've done in alerting livejournal. Were you not aware of how fast that sort of information would travel online?

All I can say is that you've (unintentionally, I'd like to believe) caused more harm to the innocent than the guilty parties. I am most curious as to why you chose to target livejournal in your purges--but even moreso why you thought it would be a wise decision to do so when you yourselves don't appear to have undergone any actual professional training. While you may have reported this to the authorities as you should, really you've caused nothing more than a smokescreen to their efforts.

I'd be more than grateful if you could thoroughly explain (and go into great detail) why you chose this method of...capturing predators. Your methods have caused more harm than good, and I'd like to know how you rationalize your actiosn thus far. Be aware that I am not holding you solely accountable; I have sent a similar message to this effect to livejournal.

Sincerely,

Megan.S."
