Krad needs so much more love. I wish Sugisaki would spend more time developing his character, because it would be so interesting to see how he thinks and why he does what he does.

For native English-speakers, Chinese is even harder. All those tones! And then hanzi to boot! I was always so surprised the kids in my Chinese class held on as long as they did (though hardly any of them went on to the second semester).

I'm not surprised that the kids in your class rarely go to the next semester. Because most people fail Chinese (if their second language is Chinese, that is) while I can only get 60% because my writing isn't that good. It's still heartening to see them attempt though (:

Well, Chinese is not a popular language to learn where I live, even though we have a lot of Chinese immigrants whose first language is Chinese. Most people take Spanish (which is useful) French, or German (which are not useful). But since English is the number one language here, few people take learning another language seriously.

Actually Chinese is my first and second language because I learnt them at the same time as English which is currently my first language since I'm better at it.

Oh, I see. In Singapore, it is compulsory to take one's mother tongue as second language. Which means that the Malays take Malay and the Indians take their own Indian language. Spanish is like unheard in Singapore...

Yeah, no one takes languages except English seriously. Which is damn sad since people are flocking to Singapore to learn Chinese D:
